The pups have been pushed to the brink with the success of everyone but themselves. $$$ is flyin like ole miss was. Better slow it down a little or they’ll wind up just like them.

Stats from the game tonight
quote:
Running back signee Tank Bigsby tallied eight carries for 39 yards. Linebacker signee Wesley Steiner finished with four tackles. Defensive back signee Christopher Thompson Jr. had two tackles, and fellow defensive back signee Ladarius Tennison added two tackles. Both played for Team Pressure.

I didn’t care to watch the all American game. How did Tennison and Tank do?

I thought Zach Evans was supposed to commit during the game. Wonder why he didn't?

Tank looked good when they actually got him the ball, but every time he did something they would pull him off of the field. His team had poor OL play though. The other 3 guys looked solid. Nothing crazy, but nothing bad. Steiner was probably the best defensive player for his team imo.

At least he’ll be accustom to a Gus team.

The problem is not the backs, not the OL linemen. The problem is a blocking scheme that has not changed. There are only a few NFL linemen who can make the trap blocks we are asking our linemen to make. Consequently, our "power" run game doesn't consistently get runners out of the backfield. Forget getting to the second level. The read option is still viable but, you can no longer count on disciplined defenses running themselves out of position.
That is just a micro issue to what the big issue is with the offense. The inconsistency of the offense the past 5 years is due to Gus running the wrong system and continuing to do so. It has been my biggest beef with him and it will continue to be.
He CAN NOT run this style of offense consistently. Im not sure how much longer it has to go on before people realize it. I said it back in 2015 and Ive said it every year since. He can have some high times when things work out but in the end, we will never be a dominate team on offense as long as he runs this style of offense. He just cant do it.
It is the reason that Auburn will need to move on from Gus and take a chance on someone else. I said that all year and nothing has changed. I think he has some incredible highs but this offense under him will never be dominate enough for us to go to the playoffs and win
And no running back or single player is going to fix this issue. We have had plenty of talent to be more successful on offense. He just cant run it

On Evans - Thought was Kirby told him to wait due to all the negativity surrounding him, such as getting sent home for their state finals.
I believe he to be very immature w/ not much guidance. Stud tho!

KN talked to someone in Georgia that’s informed about Brod Jones recruitment. Says Auburn has a real shot
More of a continuance of what we already knew. Also not sure if posted but Jones downplayed Auburn having the last visit. Hoping KN was able to catch up with him yesterday

Would be a huge steal if we’re able to get him from UGA, they are having yet another monster class, recruiting the entire lower 48 now. Just hope Jones sees he could be playing much sooner at AU than UGA.
