Well he called Tuscaloosa home and said he's 50/50 bama AU right now

Just hope we hold onto him. Surprised bama has room for him
FWIW Keith says While he has a high ceiling losing him wouldn't be devastating because of the 3 juco OTs plus the next class is supposedly quite a bit better in OT prospects.

Sounds like good news for all of our rivals.

I said clearly last year that this season’s OL class was thin, especially in the south East.

I said it often and early and so did a lot of others.

4* TE Pegues is using an OV for the UGA game this weekend. He’s deciding in December

Chad Morris’s son, 4 star QB, decommited from Arkansas.

Auburn was once a factor even though it was assumed he would commit to Arkansas. KN says TCU could be the one to watch.

He used to have offers from Oklahoma, Clemson, etc. He’s on the smaller side but he’s supposed to be legit

Early signing day is Dec 18. Chandler has about a month to kinda figure out his options and make some decisions. I don’t think Chad will have a new job by then

More QB intel-

KN hears AU and 4* QB Jeff Simms (FSU commit) are in contact. Too early to know about a potential visit date

Chandler Morris a true dual threat?

I’d throw away the dual threat tag if I could. Essentially we want to know if they can run and if they’ll actually be called design runs in college and the first portion is subjective and the second portion is a guess. Anyhow, here’s his junior stats

65% comp, 3793 yards, 43 TDs/5 INTs
120 carries, 637 yards, 19 TDs

I understand the stats. Looks good.

But isn't Morris like 5'10"?

Confirmed 5-10 at the opening. I don’t really care about his height. 5-10 may make his NFL prospects difficult but it’s plenty of height for a college QB.

More concerned that he’s small-ish in general. Murray was 5-10 but he was built pretty well, somewhere around 205-210. Manziel was 6’, 210. Russel Wilson was over 200. Not comparing him to any of those guys, just pointing out that the weight is more important probably.

He’s listed at 172. The question becomes whether he has the capacity to get up to 200 and I have almost no info on the guy So your guess is as good as mine

4* CB Kendal Dennis says he’s not coming to any Auburn games this month.

KN speculates Auburn is looking at other options there

It doesn’t matter what kind of QB we have. Gus can’t win big consistently without an OL that plays at a very high level.
