I used to think 247 was leaps and bounds better. But they’re no better without the composite. Even now the composite is skewed. Huge shocker. And one of the 247 dudes deleted my post complaining about the Thompson grade. I pay only for inside scoop so I won’t delete, but 247 knob sucking ain’t going to happen from my end.

Tend to agree. I think they do a better job than the other sites but they’re far from impunity. So much politics involved in player rankings and subsequent coverage. Very silly industry

Steele’s progression as a defensive coordinator came when he figured out to scheme the defense around its best components.
Going back to Garner — Steele loves scheming pressure from everywhere. I know they’d love an elite DE but it hasn’t been critical to Auburn grading highly in pass rush almost every season. I wouldn’t get bogged down on that detail. Garner does a great job making his units as a whole very effective. He’s done that with good pass rushers outside or inside.

Don't mistake overrated for BAD. He's an SEC level prospect I just don't think he will ever be a starter. I could easily see him being like PawPaw Atkinson and matching against run teams as a hybrid safety/LB type player.

Agree with both. From the top 20 fan bases you get player bumps on 247 however they selectively make it random year to year on teams like Auburn UT and such and always pump the larger bases like bama and UGA. However their classes are great. Tank dropping was ridiculous

It is crazy how good the class is. And I am most pumped about those 3* JUCO lineman.
