I guess Gus doesn’t list number of commits/signees by exclamation point anymore.

A connected on the Bunker is not as confident on Bro Jones as he was 2 weeks ago. Says UGA is working very hard to keep him from even visiting at all next weekend & that it's a very real possibility.

Also we just missed on a Grad Transfer OT we wanted badly & who seems to be pretty good even though he was at Vandy in Devin Cochran. He just committed to GT. I never posted about AU's interest in him before because Keith specifically put a disclaimer on the original info for Cochran to not be shared on other boards.

It's definitely Butler. We are just commenting on how every other Boom tweet Gus has had for a long time had the same number of exclamation points after the Boom as the number of commits in the class.

Same.

I’m sure losing Grimes put us back a bit. Which is kinda ironic.

I think UGA players leaving had more of an effect. Our biggest selling point was that he could step in day one and have a good shot at starting.

This and the fact Kirby had a bad offensive approach, staff, etc and he recognized it and made changes to correct it. Unlike other head coaches out there....

Not that I disagree with your premise, but other than replacing his OL coach (who got an HC gig) and his OC (who made a lateral move), what other changes has Kirby made?

At least give Gustav credit for forcing out Grimes, whom we almost all felt was becoming a liability.

What other changes could he have made? He replaced a high profile OL coach with a high profile, former sec coach, OL coach, and hired a proven successful OC from college and the NFL. Short of that he would have had to replace himself.

Maybe Gus will let Chad Morris do his own thing and things will change. There is at least hope.

Per a conversation I had with someone yesterday at the basketball game who had a direct conversation with JB Gus didn't force Grimes out. He left AU both times of his own choosing. TIFWIW.

Crazy that everybody except Gus apparently saw Grimes as a liability.

I'm still Missouri too but same someone from the last post has known Chad a very long time & still has a good relationship with him. He said Chad will have full control of the O & Chad would not have taken the AU OC job if he had anything less than full control.

Is “I’m still Missouri “ code for I’m still skeptical?” As in that Missouri belongs in the SEC skeptical?

Yes. Missouri is the "Show Me" state so when someone says they're Missouri they mean they'll believe it when they see it.

Yea, there is no way that dumb arse head coach knows as much about his coaches and their abilities as a bunch of media guys and internet posters.

God, I think some of you actually believe some of the shite you post.

Remember I am a security guard at all the Auburn sporting events. It doesn’t happen often but there may actually be times where I get to talk to someone on staff or someone close to the staff. The source in this case is someone I think nearly everyone on this board respects And trusts for their info. I’m just relaying what he said to me whether It’s believed or not. It’s very rare I actually get a first-hand source information so I’m not gonna burn the source the one time I get it.
