A little bit, but Miami has been trending with him for a while I think

Cohen was higher on our board than Walker. I can say he’s a take still

I have high hopes Travis Williams will take over Auburn’s defense when Kevin Steele retires.

Not as many updates from the 2nd 7 on 7 of the day, but Haynes King continued to play good. He's probably going to finish as the top ranked QB at the event.

Capers caught another TD

I think Carnell will be a great recruiter, but it takes two years.

I'd say he's done pretty damn well so far.

Got a high 4* for 2021. If he lands Tank on the heels of us bringing in DJ Williams and MAR last class....wow.

So what are the final projections on the last takes on the OL, its shaping up light years better than I thought just a month or two ago.

Typically but he may land a real good one in this class.

Isiah Walker decommitted from South Carolina, were we ever in on him?
Keith said he may visit.

Though it looks like the staff has locked in on Brenden Coffey & Jeremiah Wright as potentially the last 2 OLs in our class.

I’d guess 3* OT Jeremiah Wright and JUCO OT Brendan Coffey.

Why? Not that I am disagreeing, but what info do we have that he can run a whole defense with schemes and adjustments constantly necessary against these high profile offenses.

Does he do any of the defensive planning? We know he can recruit and is well liked in his LB coaching. But, he has NO experience running a defense.

It's like Garner. everyone knows he can recruit and coach the DL, but no one ever thought he could run a whole defense...

SOme guys are best at their specific expertise. it takes a lot more to be a coordinator...

I remember the year Muschamp left, he was put in complete control of our defense in our bowl game and did a stellar job. He absolutely would have my vote to eventually take over the DC position some day.

That was Lance Thompson.

Sure he does, because I do too. Can't remember which writer reported it, but it was reported that the entire gameplan for that bowl game was devised by T-Will.

An unknown reporter reported that? Before or after Thompson followed Muschamp?

No he wasn't. He was promoted to LB coach for that game, but he wasn't the coordinator, Thompson was.

I do know that he does help put the game plan together with Steel and IMO could be a suitable replacement with a few more years under Steel.

Of course, this all depends on jville not getting his way.

No, it was one of our main beat writers, I just can't remember who it was considering it was what, 3 years ago?

I don't know. Why are you so defensive about this? It is odd.

I think what basically ended up happening for that game was the T-Will basically came up with the game plan for that game. While maybe not being named DC, the defensive scheme we put on the field for that game was basically his and I think he might have called the plays that day too.

While ThaiTiger's post isn't 100% accurate, I do remember what he was referring to as far as that bowl game is concerned.
