As I suspected the past few weeks, 4* WR Worsham decommits from Bama. That was expected and probably mutual. I don’t think Auburn is recruiting him

No. We criticized them for being fricking idiots and playing him in 5 games this burning a potential redshirt to play about 5 special teams plays. But what kind of comptency can you expect from a man who is making $49 million dollars?

Sorry, in this case Im not going to blame GM for the Martin debacle.
As a HC, I have so many things to handle and take care of, knowing how many games these players have been participating in is not one of them.
Somebody who had this assignment messed up, and cost him his RS.

There is plenty to blame Gus over, just not this one to me.

And it seems this kid and or family have an ongoing itch as to where he truly wants to play.

Bingo! This is a job that falls on some grad assistant, not the HC.

My understanding is it's on the position coach or one of his underlings. Definitely wasn't a good look on Horton on the way out.

Take all 5 so 1 or 2 just sit on the bench & eventually transfer?...That's a waste of a very valuable yearly enrollee spot or 2.

Gus does but come on, you're smarter than that. Something simple like games played is delegated to someone else & it's that person's responsibility to correctly add the games played & tell Gus when players have played 4 games. The mistake is on whoever was delegated that duty.

Wouldn't we be PO'ed if CGM was more concerned about Asa Martin's redshirt in a game where we lost 23-9?

Yes, one or two may be a bust. One may get injured etc... It's called quality depth and competition and it's how teams win championships.

Yep. But they sign 10 WRs a year, and nobody bats an eye.

Gus is still responsible for it even if he’s not the one that directly did it. Part of being the HC.

Maybe they were planning on playing him more but he just wasn't that good.

Just saying

This would be plausible if it wasn’t reported that they goofed and intended on redshirting him. Not sure why we played him though if he’s as lazy as was reported, and we’ve got guys like Gatewood who had plenty of opportunities for PT and saw the field once.

probably true

there are very few RSSR RBs who lead their team in rushing

the last one at AU was Kenny Irons and he only RS'd because he transferred from USCe

chances are, if you're still in school in your 5th year at RB, you either aren't very good or have had an injury filled career

That's already factored into roster management calculation & factoring in personnel already on the team.
