Everyone does these big recruiting weekends now so ours isn’t necessarily special anymore. We still whiffed on those 5*’s
Our classes the past 5 years have been the highest recruit average in program history. We’ve done that even without a ton of 5*’s. And we’ve also avoided backloading classes with fringe D1 talent just because we have room. There’s an argument to be made that we should have maybe taken some more project OTs

Yeah. There’s not much more to say about OT at this point. Cohen will be a nice addition but he might be our only 4* there unless we somehow make up ground elsewhere

Looking for all the OTs in that list.

I don’t know who they’d be - but KN said they might add some names later this week as they hear of more kids making the trip
KN also hinted as much as he can that a couple of kids will commit this weekend. Said his sources asked not to hint at who they are

Wiltfong CB’d 4* LB Desmond Tisdol to AU. A SCe insider also CB’d Tisdol to AU. KN hears he is all Auburn. I’m guessing he is one of the likely commitments this weekend
Tisdol (247) is the #6 ILB by 247. He will be in town this weekend

Definitely lacks the flash of some years past, but I don't hate the list.
OT is a concern for sure. Hopefully we can get Cohen then a couple other 3*'s with good upside that hopefully end up better than their recruiting rankings. Sad that is what it has come to, but we need bodies more than anything.

I know next to nothing about OL or evaluating OL but with that said the Wright kid from Selma showed some promise. I watched his video and he showed a decent burst. He ran down a qb on defense and his height is legit. He had a picture of him standing with Malzahn and he is at least 1.5" if not 2" taller. Saw a video of him squatting 500lbs. I don't know where that would put him with other prospects his size but to me that's a shite-ton of weight.

I like Jeremiah Wright.
OL is probably the toughest position to evaluate. The size and athleticism is the easy part. The tough part is knowing whether the guy can work on a 5 team unit whose responsibility alternates each snap. And you just can’t ever get beat.

Pegues certainly looks like an athlete in his films, and at six three and 260 pounds. Guy could play a lot of places at that size.

I feel like every time Gus explained what "Ride for the Brand" meant, he just used a different way of saying the same thing.
This is one of those corny marketing taglines that some administrative person made up to have huge meaning behind it but anyone with a brain understands its simplicity.

JUCO OT Kilian Zierer is using his OV to AU this weekend
KN said he will have a final list for Big Cat on Friday around 2. Sounds like he’s waiting to drop some big names once they actually get on campus. He said we’ll be happy. Hoping that means a few OTs
