It’s not. It was never going to be and it was pre-warned last fall.

2021 could be a big year for us if things hold par. Dylan Brooks, Lee Hunter, and Ga’Quincy Mckinstry would give us three 5* players on the defensive side.

Could be. These guys are pretty unpredictable and Gus’s annual hot seat rumors will make this an aggravating few classes to track.

2021 DT Anquin Barnes visited for the Kent State game. Unranked kid out of Montgomery that Auburn offered earlier this summer after a strong camp performance.

He’s already 6-5, 300 LBs and none of it looks like bad weight
He was a big reason Lee shut down Auburn High's potent running attack & beat them in their big time game last Friday.

Trenton Simpson’s highlights from last game and he played as good as advertised.

Steiner had a big game at LB last week.

Our DL might suck but the LBs should be stacked

Zykeivous Walker set an official for Nov 2nd. DL recruiting just got a little more important with Moore leaving too. Gonna be interesting to see what Garner puts together for this class.

We thought the JUCO DL that Garner was tracking but haven’t offered was curious and now we have a better idea of why that is. Seems clear to me that the coaching staff didn’t like what they were seeing from Moore from early returns and thought he might go. Also worth noting that we probably needed a JUCO or GT guy anyways.

He was known to be a weird dude to begin win. Wonder what happened to change their mind on being able to get him on track

Not really sure what he brings in but he’s been backed into worse corners than this. He’s a closer because he’s good at being a DL coach. Not the snake oil salesmen kind.

The thing about this to me is JUCO doesn't have a lot of DL prospects this year. People can always emerge throughout the season and obviously I'm not following JUCO football closely, but its slim pickings there to me. Grad transfers might be a different story though. I'm still not worried about Garner closing, but DL recruting is pretty much the only thing I'm following right now.

I have no idea how DL recruiting will shake out this off season, but I have complete confidence that RG will take whomever he has and provide a decent SEC DL. TT and the other young guys have looked good this season. TD and Big Cat are playing better than in the past. It might not be the "best DL" in the country like the guys this season are being touted but it will be a good DL. Plus the LB's will be a year older and more experienced.

Jeremiah Pegues would make a great DT, he is very very quick, and he already weighs more than Handy who is projected to move inside. We picked up 2 TEs (not including JJ Wilson who is a grad transfer) last cycle, we can miss one this go round.

We can but it's not a good idea. It's TE &/or HB which is sometimes 2 separate positions. Wilson & Nigh will be gone. The 3 of Shenker, Fromm, & Deal for sometimes 2 positions is not enough. We should really be 2 deep at both positions.

Never was. Nor Darnell Washington either.
