His size is the only reason people on this board are creaming over him. Would love to be proven wrong, but i dont think he will be a starting Qb for Auburn

thUGA wanted Cam to play TE too. I'll take your bet on Joey. Not saying someone can't beat him out, but they're going to have to be one hell of a QB to do it.

Duke passed on Austin Kendall.... I really hope we don't pick him up. At some point we need to play one of the highly rated guys we have on scholarship and I would MUCH rather use that spot to get another guy from HS. Not a knock on Kendall at all, but we have way more important needs right now.

We are going to have to hope that he wasn’t a finished product then. He was squatting 520 in HS though and is a freak athlete thus the hype be met if Gus can see his personal project through. If not, stick him at TE.

Don't think we've seen enough of any of our QBs to know what we have. Besides Malik. If he starts, we're screwed

I mean you were the one calling him a tight end, a la Tubbs.
Kid has a cannon of an arm. I agree that we have no idea what kind of QB Joey will be but to write him off for his size is just dumb.

KN followed up on Austin Kendall visit with some notes
- Per Shurburtt on 247 (SCAR guy) AU apparently reached out to Kendall shortly after he put his name in transfer portal. Kendall has been talk with Gus who recruited him hard out of high school. KN isn't sure how hard AU is pushing but fact that Gus immediately started talking to him gives an indication interest might be high
- Duke was believed to be the top team but turns out that Duke is not planning on pursuing Kendall
- Kendall & his mom visited AU yesterday & were not expected to stay overnight. Really no info has gotten out on visit & no one knew it was even happening until Kendall put something on Instagram
- Apparently WV & MIA might also be after Kendall. It was thought he would visit WV yesterday but showed up in AU instead

That's just such an awkward fit. Watched his high school highlights and the kid is a hell of a passer. He must've attended the Sean White School of Art. I have no doubt the kid can throw the ball but why is Gus seemingly pursuing him harder than Hurts? It makes no sense with Gus's job on the line.
But hell who knows, maybe he's tapped back into whatever made that Tulsa offense so prolific and he wants a 5000 yard passer again. We'll just have to wait and see.

Supposedly AU has been in contact with Hurts too. No idea if Hurts is interested in AU as well
Clear Gus is going to at least talk with some grad transfer QB targets. Whether AU makes a move for anymore still needs to be seen
