Just looked at his stats from this year on 247.
205 Tackles
26 TFL
6 PBU
1 FF
2 FR
Those tackle numbers are crazy as hell.

2* on Rivals. Looks like that's the only service that has any sort of ranking though.

Not afraid to knock your block off, so there's that at least.

Ya he hits but not sure if he's got the speed for SEC. Extremely productive player tho. Curious if this is a full ride or a PWO

Looks like a legit offer
Kameron Brown, younger brother to AU star, gets Tigers offer (247)

quote:
For Kameron Brown, the waiting has been the hardest part. As a senior linebacker for Sugar Hill (Ga.) Lanier, he recorded 205 tackles -- 149 solo -- in 2018. For his efforts, he was named Gwinnett Daily Post Defensive Player of the Year.
Yet, despite his play, the major colleges hadn't come calling.
That is, until Friday night.
In a surprising development, Auburn offered the unrated senior.
"I'm excited," Brown told Auburn Undercover. "I was real excited. The thing about getting an offer like this is, it's an honor."
Brown wasn't the only member of his family thrilled by this news. His older brother is star Tigers defensive tackle Derrick Brown.
"He was like, 'It's about time,' " Kameron Brown said.
For months, Derrick Brown has stumped on Twitter for colleges to take a look at his brother. Finally, it was the Tigers who bit. The offer came directly from Auburn coach Gus Malzahn during a Friday night phone call.
"He was talking about measurables and how he was a high school coach and he knew they weren't everything," Brown said. "And he said, 'The chance will be given.'"
For Brown, who said he is 6-feet, 228 pounds, this was offer No. 6. Before Friday, FCS Gardner Webb probably was his leader. But now things have changed in a big way and he plans to officially visit Auburn soon.
"I will consider (Auburn) strongly," Brown said. "With (Auburn All-SEC linebacker) Deshaun Davis, I'm like two inches taller than him and I weigh the same. "
Why haven't more schools pursued Brown?
"It's because of my height basically," he said. "And my measurables. They don't think I can move as well as some of the other kids but I'll show them."
Auburn has one linebacker signed and that is 5-star early enrollee Owen Pappoe. The Tigers would like to sign two more.
Meantime, Brown's older brother has himself a big decision to make. After three years at Auburn, he could leave early for the NFL (most think he's a first-rounder). But might he be tempted to stay -- and could a chance to play one season with his younger brother weigh into his decision?
"We'll see," Kameron Brown said. "He still has time to declare."

Article from Keith. Sounds like he’s being offered a full ride.
Ah you beat me to it.

Jake Holland taught me to never trust highschool stats.

I’d assume GM is pretty familiar with this guy and if he’s any thing like DB personality wise, he’s worth having in the locker room. Just doesn’t feel great to offer him this early. Almost like the coaches know we got a scholly to spare, ie missed on some.

I think the pickings are pretty slim at this point & maybe Christopher Russell said he wouldn't visit. I think there's a good chance AU ends up with Octavius Brothers too who is a very good athlete at LB
T-WILL hit on the #1 guy but did strike out basically on 2-10

JUCO Bamidele is a front runner at OT but far from certain.
I hope we land this guy. Sign him and convince Tega to play another year and we could actually have a good OL next year.

This is a play for his brother to come back. I guarantee if he commits that DB is back.

I said from the beginning I never thought we would bring in 3 LBs. We have a lot of good young player there right so its not really a position of need. Next year I expect 3 though.
I'm surprised it's taken so long for Kam Brown to get an offer from someone. He's too good to only go D-2. Don't know how good he would be in the SEC, but he is better than his offer list.
I think you missed my post earlier in all the chaos, but whats going on with Cox and Handy-Holley? Every class projection seems to leave them out.

There were certainly some scenarios where Auburn takes 3 LBs but I don’t think there was a concern over quantity in this class.
I’d rather not take Derrick Brown’s brother but if that tempts DB to come back then maybe it’s worth it. We also had a scholly open up with McBryde not being able to be medically cleared for football.

Maybe Derrick said "I will come back next year and wreck shite if you give my little bro a scholarship". Gus and garner probably sprinted to the phone!

Wolk seems to think that AU won't move on Cox until they miss on Moore. He didn't include Cox in his post today on targets
I haven't heard anything on Handy-Holly for awhile. He's not on the official roster so no idea what's going on there

We could still end up with 3 if Brothers and Brown sign. It just never worked out to me whenever I looked at class numbers. We had more needs in other places.
Is McBride a guarantee to not play next year? I remember he had to sit out the year, but don't remember much else. Whether or not anyone likes the offer to Kam Brown.. I think everyone can admit he shouldn't be an unranked recruit with that type of production. Low 3 star maybe, but not unranked.

Great news imo.

Interesting. I figured it was basically a done deal. We accepted his transfer when we we're more desperate for DBs, but we seem to be ok there now so I wouldn't be mad if him and Auburn both moved on from each other.

Yeah, unfortunately McBryde is done. His injury was career ending according to Matthews.
I don’t know enough about Kam to say where he should be rated but his stats are eye popping.
And you’re right, this could end up being a quantity year but I’m not sure the coaches were worried about it. We were on some crazy elite talent this cycle and only Pappoe materialized. I think we’re pretty locked in with Britt, McClain, and Wooten the next few years with Pappoe eventually working his way up that chart as well. That’s quite a few young guys that will block up playing time for underclassmen

Maybe not right now, but he sure looks like he has a lot of bad weight to drop. If so, maybe he has some untapped athleticism
