Also said he thinks he's the best WR in the country which I think is a fair take

He was a man amongst boys out there last night, and that was agaisnst the best players in the nation. Kid is going to be a big time NFL receiver one day.

Not sure if his stats, the QB play was limited. But he showed off his soft hands, big frame, and quick feet.

Early thoughts are that he may go play baseball instead.

Other side note, Nix is much faster than I realized. I was expecting Stidham speed, but he's much quicker than JS.

If you go back & watch his sophomore tape he ran A LOT more than he's done at Pinson Valley. It jumps out then that he really is a dual threat QB. He's not gonna run the read option a bazillion times but he can at least be effective in it enough to hopefully keep people honest

The big thing though is he's really good at escaping pressure & keeping plays alive. Don't expect Nix to house many 40+ yarders but he can at least bring the QB threat back in the run game

Not sure if it was mentioned a page back or not but 3* LB Octavius Brothers is gonna OV next weekend along with 3* OG Kamaar Bell

FWIW I like Brothers more than Christopher Russell. Russell is a thumper for sure at MLB but worried if he's fast enough to play sideline to sideline. Brothers is the superior athlete but a bit smaller all in my very not expert opinion...

Also haven't seen a ton of new OL offers go out. Either they feel good about Olaseni & Bell or waiting to pursue grad transfers. Interested to see if some new OL offers go out next week before visits begin

I feel like I read that he was only sacked a few times this year. Nix understands football and the QB position at a really high level. He’s a bit of a gunslinger and not afraid to take chances. I think as long as he isn’t throwing picks all the time, he is the favorite to win the starting job.

Big question for Smart has always been can he manage the egos of all these highly rated guys. It's probably most underrated thing Saban has done at Bama. Get them to buy into the "process" and wait their turn. Next year is gonna be big for the Dawgs

Ya'll are going to be really disappointed when Nix isn't named the starter. Then you're going to be really glad when you see Joey making defenses look silly

This is similar to Gus after the 13 season. Your winow is short, and if you don't capitalize, bad things will happen.

Maybe... the one thing that’s pretty much always gonna be in their favor is that Mickey Mouse regular season schedule... SECE plus GT is an almost guaranteed 10 win season.

Uga lost to the 3 best teams they played this season... who did they beat who was any good?... uk and auburn?

Heard the UA game announcers last night say this was the strongest OL class they had seen in a long time yet we can’t seem to bring in Oline recruits. So fristrating because I don’t see any change in recruiting approach or coach that tells me GM sees the problem

Not really. I’m a big fan of Gatewood and wouldn’t be upset at all if he’s the starter. But if I’m betting then my money is on Nix.
