RB: Mark-Antony Richards, West Palm Beach (Fla.) Wellington: UNCOMMITTED TARGET -- Auburn, Florida, Miami and Penn State are the top contenders. Auburn, Florida and Penn State (which already has two backs on board and is recruiting him as an athlete) all are said to be optimistic. Auburn has sold him hard on the idea that he could be the next Kerryon Johnson with the Tigers. They have similar builds and running styles. Richards had 1,300-plus rushing yards and 900-plus receiving yards in 2018. All told, he had about 3,000 all-purpose yards.

He committed to the Tigers last summer (2017) but has continued to visit other schools, notably Alabama, FSU and LSU. He did not sign early but we are told he came close to doing that. DT: LeDarrius Cox, Mobile (Ala.) McGill-Toolen: TENNESSEE COMMIT, DID NOT SIGN EARLY -- Many think the Vols commit will flip to Auburn. In fact, it may not be a matter of if, but of when. Cox has visited Auburn multiple times since the summer and Auburn likes its chances. Meantime, the optimism in Knoxville, Tenn., of keeping him in the class is not believed to be overly high. The Tigers would like to add at least one more tackle in the class and Cox seems to be the most likely to land in Auburn. He will officially visit in January.

DE: Charles Moore, Louisville (Miss.): MISSISSIPPI STATE COMMIT, DID NOT SIGN EARLY -- The No. 8 recruit in Mississippi, Moore recently took an official to Auburn and his interest appears to be strong. This constant flirtation with the Tigers certainly should be at least some cause for concern to the Bulldogs. We'd put Auburn's chances here at 35 percent -- but they're rising.

LB: Octavius Brothers, Rockledge (Fla): UNCOMMITTED TARGET -- Auburn, Miami, North Carolina and Ole Miss are the top contenders for Brothers at this time. Auburn quietly began recruiting him back in November and in a short time linebackers coach Travis Williams has built a strong relationship with him. Brothers will officially visit in January. If that goes well, the Tigers will have a shot to land this former UCF commitment.

LB: Christopher Russell, Dyersburg (Tenn.): UNCOMMITTED TARGET -- Auburn, Arkansas and Tennessee look like the teams to watch for this emerging prospect in Tennessee whose stock seems to be soaring. The former Memphis commit is an athletic freak who is expected to officially visit the Tigers in January. Even before the Early Signing Period came and went, this was a player who had shot up the Auburn board and moved ahead of several prospects with higher ratings.

CB: DJ James, Spanish Fort (Ala.): MISSISSIPPI STATE COMMIT, DID NOT SIGN EARLY -- James came up big during Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game week and of late Auburn has started to show more interest. It's unconfirmed, but we hear the Tigers might have offered. If Auburn pushes, it will be a real threat here.
