Bama has 18 OL on the roster and we have 20
How many Bama OL head to the NFL vs AU from this 2018 roster?
Let's get the names of each and watch it play out.

Would be pretty irrelevant to the number of Olineman we recruit.
Recruiting thread has had some real trouble with compartmentalizing lately...

Unless I counted someone incorrectly, we have 6 walkons, so we can’t have 16 scholarship OL

Meh, frick off
If discussing our oline problems have nothing to do with our recruiting let me know.

Not what I’m saying.
Argument is do we recruit enough Olinemen. And you counter with how many Bama is getting drafted versus us.
But that has nothing to do with the number of lineman we recruit. You’re arguing quality not quantity.

Yes I am countering and adding to the argument quality, because who gives a shite if we have 30 lineman on scholarship if we suck at blocking?
My argument is that we will continue to miss on top OL talent because either we can’t seem to develop or it’s our scheme that can’t send enough to the NFL. It could be some of both. Why would a top recruit continue to come to a program like that?
The quantity argument is lame

I think we’ve put a decent amount of lineman in the nfl compared to other SEC teams besides bama... and maybe ole miss. I do hope now we get the 4* juco and maybe a project guy with length. I think we missed an opportunity with the guy from alabaster that signed with UAB

How drunk are you?
I agree with everything you’re saying but if someone says we don’t recruit enough lineman. Then another poster compares the numbers. Does it make sense to counter with “yeah but how many get drafted?” No.
I don’t think anyone is fine with the way we’ve recruited Oline but if you say we haven’t recruited enough numbers wise then I’ll disagree with you.

Since 2013
Auburn 3
Alabama 7
Arkansas 3
LSU 5
Ole Miss 3
Miss St 3
Here is what I gathered from draft numbers and we are pretty even in the West except for LSU and Bama. I didn't go further into round drafted. I also didn't look at FA entry as to where we stand on numbers. Would be interesting to know those.
I am just looking at our last year haul and how we are looking so far this class. Not to mention how our guys looked this season overall. I hope I am wrong, really I do, but that is how I see it at the moment. This game is won in the trenches obviously.

I know what you are trying to say and quite frankly I don't give a frick bro. Great, the person saying we don't have enough on the team is wrong. wooohooo!!!!

I agree, with experience you just gotta hope these guys especially people like troxell and Brahms improve a lot
Posted on 12/22/18 at 6:27 pm to blzr
Yes and I expect Brahms to do much better after a good off season Troxall is a little bit of a head scratcher so far. I hope Wanogho stays. Maybe we do nab some help by February. Cross fingers.

We desperately needed a few OT this cycle and last, bama got 3 of the top 9 rated tackles this cycle...we fricked, georgia was only lacking a center to complete their recruiting from the last two cycles...we fricked.
But on the upside, we may end up with starting tackles from two I think division one schools, and a project from London...we fricked.
I hope we have a lot of QBs, and I hope they all have good medical plans....we fricked.

The funny thing to me about the scheme argument is Clemson is running it and got Putnam.

Clemson took GusShortBus' high school offense, and turned it into a college offense. They don't have only 5 plays
