The optimism in Gus’s response is contagious. I’m thinking a top 3 class now.

4* RB Jamious Griffin won’t be signing anywhere next week. He wants to visit Auburn in January and he may stop by Georgia Tech this weekend

DJ Williams will visit Georgia instead of Clemson this weekend. KN thinks he’s both Alabama and UGA’s backup plan if they miss on Trey Sanders

Uber OM homer Yancy Porter who has been trumpeting OM gonna flip Handy is concerned that Moore will land at AU. OM not really a factor for Moore so says that would be bad news for Rebels as Handy and Moore are very close

Also Jamone Gordon running 1st team DL for Team Mississippi

That doesn’t surprise me but it says a lot considering the DL in that MS class. He’s got a NFL frame and a lot of athleticism.

Goodness our DL class might be terrific. Still a little concerned about whether Wooden is a true pass rush guy and if Derrick Hall really has the capability at Buck too. But we definitely have some good clay to work with.

Are we not going after any interior defensive lineman?

I believe Gordon is projected to move inside iirc. Also looking to flip a DT commit from Tennessee I believe.

Cox, Gordon, Handy and Moore are all guys that can play at 295+

We have 2 committed in Gordon & Handy. Also hard after Cox, Fuller & Moore

Don't really recruit a ton of specific DTs but more guys that can play across the line. Cox is a true NG type of prospect but the other guys could all play 0-5 techniques

How does Gus's denial that his contract has not changed and that no one asked him to change it square with what has been reported?

What’s been reported, by 247 especially, has all been proven to be fictional narrative. There’s really no way around it. The one year contract for assistants was debunked. The contract renegotiation was debunked. It was all baloney.

Yep. The DL will continue to be interchangeable and the buck will be the leaner, quicker pass rush guy.

The difference between the DTs and DEs with what we’re running now is that our true DEs are better athletes that can get to the sideline
