He also had an interesting nugget on RB recruiting. If it were up to Horton, AU wouldn't be putting all its eggs on Cain.

If true then what happens in this RB class is on Gus.

Eh, I'm probably fine with the strategy. If Boobee continues to impress like he is doing, and Martin, Shivers, and Joiner all look good, I'm fine with going boom or bust on Cain. If we miss, grab a good one next cycle. We've got some young talent right now.

It sounds like they've sold him on being a big piece to the turn around of the program, so a bad season might not play much into it.

Oh he's definitely bought into being a big piece to the turn around, but we all know that when you are in the middle of a bad season like that, no one wants to be a part of it and people start rethinking things.

No offense but when is this not true?
Agreed. It was posted for anyone who may want to put all this RB stuff on Horton like some posters in The Bunker were doing.

I know WM is recruiting/solid to UT now, but a bad season (3-9 or 4-8) will definitely play a factor. It's one thing to say you don't care how they finish in the preseason, it's another when they are the laughing stock of CFB.
Don't think it will affect Wanya. His mom isd All Vol & Wanya is on record saying he wants to rebuild a program.

Usually doesn't happen unless the HC gets fired or is in serious jeopardy of being fired. Barring a scandal Pruitt at UT is safe for 3 years.

I'm ok with it. WR is probably our deepest position right now imo.

KN says Rodney Garner & Marcus Woodson are going to see 4* Buck Derick Hall play today. Still has AU as his leader but MSST & FSU are right there. Took OV to FSU for VT game. No timeframe on his decision. Will OV to AU for LSU (I think if we nail the visit he commits on trip)

Tim Horton will be at 4* OG William Putnam's game tonight too. AU/FSU battle with Tigers feeling a lot better about their chances. Will also OV for AU/LSU game

3* ATH Tye Edwards told KN that if AU pushes he would probably commit. KN thinks there's a chance that could happen in the near future. Basically sounds like if you see Edwards announce will take OV to AU then probably means he's now a take in the class

He's going to the right place then. They are entering their second decade of "rebuilding".

Hopefully Florida State continues the dumpster fire of a season that began against Va. Tech. With Putnam, Hall and Bell considering them, we would have a lot to gain this year competing with recruits against a bad Florida State team.

KN starting to put out names for visitors this weekend. Good to see Pickens on there

Interestingly, former LSU commit 3* LB Zach Edwards is on the list. Some big 2020 names as well including QB Robby Ashford, RB Roydell Williams, WR EJ Williams & Kristian Story

Pretty sure Roydell Williams was at WASH game too

Wolk confirmed that Roydell was at Washington game too

Also said it was hard to keep track of who was there due to the venue and number of recruits. Which explains why haven't gotten a ton of updates

I think with the freshman WR class looking good early that coaches have to be picky with who commits at this point.

Robby Ashford PotG vs Thompson

216 pass yards
133 rush yards
3 total TD

Taulia looked like a scrub in comparison, and he had a pretty good night too

I was to see Ashford later in he season after defenses have a better idea how to slow down the Hoover offense but I’m on board early.
