there is a great equalizer that could be falling in our favor though.....QB Recruiting. There's obviously never a sure thing, but we're hedging our bets well.

Going from Gatewood (still has potential) to Nix to possibly Ashford to possibly Vandagriff would be a lot of pure talent in the QB room over these next several years. Add in Cord Sanberg if you'd like.

The ONE position AU can't be successful without is the QB.

Likely 2019 starter IMO. Either him or Bo.

I have seen Ashford live a few times. He has a lot of up side. He is gonna need a few years to season tho. He has the potential to be a 17 year old freahman in college.

Really? I'm very surprised to hear you say that. What do you see that makes you think so? To me his arm isn't close to be strong enough to play against SEC defenses

Not the 1st time I've said it.

Has nothing to do with what I've seen from him. Has to do with what I've heard on Malik & Joey plus Cord supposedly progressing very well in the short time he's been here. Malik is still struggling w/ ball security & QB decision making. Along with similar QB decision making issues Joey is having attitude issues. So much so that as things stand right now Hunter48, who has connections to the AU staff, thinks it will be a struggle for Joey to be at AU more than 1 season. Of the 2, MW & JG, I think Malik has the best chance of taking real progression steps to being next year's starter.

All the alternating QBs in high school really hurt the progression of Gatewood. I get it, the other kid had talent, then transfer to another school.

At least he, and Auburn would have had a more realistic view of his potential.

Surprised by the lack of intel that's come out this week from the Washington game. Not really sure who made it & who didn't. Wondering if there were just too many prospects for KN to keep up with or if there just wasn't much to report

Maybe more difficult since it's a neutral site and they don't have the access that they normally would for a visit? Not really sure. Been quite from JLee as well.

I think this has merit but my guess is that Gus liked Gatewood not being able to develop there. Gus is the guy that wants his QB knowing everything they know about being a QB from him.

Any chance Malik has dies the day that Bo steps on campus.

Can you imagine Malik or Joey trying to best Bo in 7vs7s.

Why Malik didn't throw it to the TE on the 2 point conversion is beyond me. He was wide open and Malik starred him down then decided to run it in. I wish someone could post the gif

You know you are whipped. Anything else you would like to know? You must just enjoy copy/paste information. I told you guys he was likely a problem.

When coaches/teammates shake their heads about a kid, it isn’t a positive sign.

Yup. As the TE crossed Malik he was 5-7 yards ahead of the DB covering him. Mind blowing would be an understatement.

Yeah those 6 count them 6 motherfricker in front of him had zero effect. It was a shite play.

Not a valid excuse. There was a camera angle replay later in the game that essentially showed from MW's POV. The crossing TE I am talking about happened in a manner where the TE came clear into MW's line of sightwhere MW would easily see him given the formation & how open the field was.

It looked like it was designed to get #47 open and it did, Malik just flat out missed it. shite happens but it was a miss.

Last year it looked like the game couldn’t slow down for Malik. So far, just more of the same. I hope Gatewood gets his act straightened out. He’s got too much potential and too much growing up to do to be copping attitudes like he already owns the place.
