What we want is a QB that can and will run the ball and has the passing accuracy to keep the defense on its toes. Its really not hard to see and some of you are just too fricking hard headed to believe what you are seeing right in front of your face.

Maybe not but they are out there. And if we focus on that style of offense, our chances are better to get one.

They are out there. We had two of them in a 4 year period

I think we have. Went hard after Fields and Emory Jones. Signed Joey Gatewood and Malik Willis. Also went after Lowell Narcisse.

But u don't say no to guys like Stidham and Nix

Which is just crazy when u think about it

Wish we could have brought home an extra or trophy or two during then...

As for actual recruiting news. Some big stuff leaked out tonight. Apparently first reported on UGA Rivals forum but KN had a followup note. Recent UGA commit 4* LB Trezman Marshall has had basically 0 communication with AU during his recruitment. But apparently he's now talking with Travis Williams & might visit in the near future. Why? Owen Pappoe. The two wanna play with each other at next level & sounds like OP is pushing Marshall to join him at AU

Probably a longshot right now but huge news for the simple fact that confirms both Pappoe recruiting hard for AU & his influence. We gettin errybody this year

Just read Saban is blocking Kennedy from transferring to a sec rival school. I didn't think you could limit the transfer of a grad student. Any feedback?

Me and you need to go fishing soon and reminisce about the good old days of fast QBs, read option, and winning championships...

Didn't we play pretty good last year with a pocket QB? A few injuries and poor O line play kept us from the playoffs, not a lack of a running QB. Truthfully runner or pocket passer shouldn't matter. If the QB(and rest of he players) is good enough the offense should work.

So you really want the Woody Barretts & JF3s of the world? Guys who are good to great runners but below average passers...You can have 'em but you won't be successful.

This is like saying you really want the Clint Moseleys and the Jeremy Johnsons of the world like that's what all pocket passers are.

The true duals, who can be a major running piece to an offense & can pass at a quality level, are hard to find.

They are playing at schools all across the country and winning big every year.

Not out there much at all. Usually hasn't been more than 1 or 2 per class in the nation that turn out to be good runners & passers in college if that many.

Pretty good sure but we still had some major stinkers on offense. We have only ever been elite with QBs that can run.

Those are just rules proposals right now. They haven't been passed yet. Coaches can still block.

FIFY. We would have made the playoffs even losing the SECCG had we not had the 2nd half collapse @ LSU.

We did. And with the best defense Auburn has had in 14 years.

Put the 2010 or 2013 shitty defense on last years team and see how well we do

Plus, when we needed last years offense to pull us through, it failed us. Stidham ran around like a little girl against Clemson and got sacked a dozen times. Then he turned the ball over all year trying to drop back and avoid the rush. You need so many more good parts to run this offense than the prior.

And last year, we dont have any hardware to show for it. zip. And failed miserably at the end of the year not scoring enough points

Results are results. Hardware
