I'm pretty much in the if you were committed and didn't sign early it's not a firm commit.. he would be tough to lose and not melt a lil more with what has gone on the last few weeks

AU getting an OV from Nicholas Petit-Friere! 5* OT from Florida.
We really just need to at least land one of Wonnum, Gourage, Barnes and NPF. If we land 2 it'd be amazing, but we really need one of those guys and Jalen Goss. I really like Goss.

He was always planning on signing on the real Signing Day.
Vols were also dead sure they were going to flip Carl Lawson on signing day too. Reality is there was never the slightest chance that was going to happen.
I know Hill was also always planning on signing the real Signing Day. I'm not worried about Jibunour or the Australian Punter either.
Fuqua I don't really care much about tbh.

The RB from wetumpka Smoke is getting an OV on JAN 12 hope we take him. Watched him played a few times looks a good fit. Kinda plays like Pettway.

Oh sweet mother of, if we ended up with two of those fellas, yes a big big if, boy would that be a close to recruiting. The only spots lacking and we round it out with two of the best at that position.

Agreed. I would love to get Barnes of that group as he reminds me of Golson in that he could play maybe all five spots on the OL. I have to think we get one from that group. My guess is it will be Gouraige which would be awesome

Looks like AU going after 3* TE Matt Alaimo. Announced he got an offer today & plans on OVing January 12th. Both KN & Wolk CB'd him to AU tonight

Quick thoughts after watching some of his highlights. Looks like he's got great hands and I love his size. Seems like a decent blocker. Not the fastest dude in the world and gonna have to better better at running routes to get consistent separation at next level. But I like his tape more than Shenker's last year and for a backup option at TE, not bad at all

We seem hell bent on getting a tight end this cycle, we already have three on scholly for next year. Thats one catch per scholly, sure doesnt seem like a real need. And if we look at smoke as a replacement for Cox that totally blows the theory of us recruiting one person for TE/HB.
Im thinking we need that scholly for the extra linemen coming in, note I said linemen, Gouraige and Barnes???? With Goss for a little icing on top.

Personally, I like Gouraige least out of that group, including Goss. I think Gouraige is a little stiff in the hips and will be more of a project at tackle.

I get that concern but Harris will graduate next season as will Chandler Cox who is asked to do some things Lindsey wants his TE to do in the future. I think Lindsey wants a TE in each class specifically until he has more players that fit the mold of what he's looking for which are 6'4"+ hybrid players that can both be lead blockers and flex out and make catches

No one outside this board has said that's why Smoke might be an option. I doubt he would be recruited as a FB. If AU were to push for him it's probably because we missed on some other targets and believe both KJ & Pettway are going pro

We will take 2 more OL in this class. If Gouraige, Petite-Frere & Barnes all wanted on board we wouldn't say no either

Agreed. And most of those highlights were against little white kids in NJ. Seemed to be lazy on a lot of those routes too. Hard to get excited about this one.

For me it's always been Wonnum. Up until recently tho he was the best OT on the board so I was cool with it. But I worry about the system he plays in and how long it would take for him to be come an effective pass blocker. Just seems a bit heavy on his feet ala Darius James to me. I will take any of those 5 tho
