Here's his justification:
tOSU wants Kellen Mond or Tate Martell. One of Martell's 5* WR friends appears to be headed to tOSU so KN things Tate ends up there too.
Also, a player close to Mond told Keith that it will come down to tOSU and AU. Mond is supposed to visit again with both his parents sometime. He'll hopefully OV too.

Would rather have Mond. Tate is listed at 5'11", which means he is probably in the 5-9 to 5-10 range. To give some perspective, Nick Marshall is listed at 6'1", and I felt he was a little small coming from Cam. I like taller, stronger QBs in our system.

What's the deal with him and Baylor? I know he's still committed there but are they still considered a major player or is it like a David Marshall situation where everyone knows he's not going there.

LB updates
Will Ignot has given a silent to Bama.
We're still in good shape with Moultry, Britt, and Wooten. Benton says that he has no leader and his recruitment is "wide open". Have to think we're still in good shape though.
We've recently turned up the heat on Monty Rice as well. I assume it's due to Ignot going to Bama.
Not sure if Rice is a take he' probably insurance if we miss on Benton
Keith says we are taking 4 LBs
Moultrie, Britt, Wooten, and Benton would be nice

accd to JLee the feeling is mutual. Said that things didn't go so well when Auburn did their in-person eval of him. Could be just BS......
but considering the guy couldn't even lock up a LB job on his own HS team (at IMG) that would be a little alarming, no? And from what ellitor had said he was dismissed from IMG for some sort of disciplinary reason.

we basically swapped Ignont for TD which I am cool with. Now need to lock down Benton & then I am cool with any 2 of Britt, Rice & Wooten

Rice is a kid who has been under recruited so far. He is looked at as someone we might take in place of Britt.

Usually yes but he's behind Moses + two other top 250 guys at that position and he was the last there
I like Monty Rice over Britt. So do most colleges, IMO

really? I personally am a fan of Britt. I think he plays really really well in tight spaces from what I've seen. May not be able to get sideline to sideline as quick as Rice but I think Britt would be a great Mike against the Arky's and LSU's of the schedule.

That's kind of what I thought. They ARE talented at IMG....the only problem is they didn't even keep him at LB. They wanted to just flat out move him to RB.

I like them both. Britt seems more aggressive up front and has a nose for the ball. Rice looks crazy good in space. Best case scenario would be to take them both and let them compete. I would sign 5 if we could sign these 5 and skimp somewhere else.
