Interestingly his family is thinking of moving out of the DC area

Having only been here 5 months working at the Navy Yard, not surprised. From talking to longtimers here, the area is turning into a shithole...fast. I'm in Alexandria, supposed to be a nice place. Public housing has been pushed out to the edges of the city and is the root cause - 3 homicides within 300yds of my door this year alone. DC is more dangerous for service members than anywhere else in the world.

took trip to Austin and now Texas is trending

Maybe a visit high but Austin is a great city and as a Juco I would want receptions too. Alot of hype there, easy sell for Herman.

Been 3 times, I really enjoy it. Wouldn't want to raise a family there, but as a young 20 something it was blast.

Don't think black is coming to AU.

well shite, Avery to Louisville may be just a thing but we dont have room for both him and Devon Hunter and would take Hunter over Avery.

Looks like Torrence Givson is leaving Ohio St for MGCCC... We've found Stidham's 2018 replacement

Gibson actually says that tweet is false information. His mom thinks he might be able to transfer straight to a D1 school with no transfer penalty. You can double sign with a JUCO and a D1 so that's probably what he's doing

Auburn will definitely be in the running.

For what position, though?

How LSU couldn't close on Buggs is a head scratcher

That's easy. Because Bama is better and LSU just hired Coach O as the HC.

That's big because means he will participate in bowl practice. There were some thoughts he might not

Auburn targets top in-state defensive linemen to fill gaps (SECCountry)

quote:

There’s an awkward combination of stressing the need to fill them, while also recognizing the depth and ability to emphasize needs elsewhere. Now, it’s time to begin placing that emphasis squarely on the defensive front.

The Tigers will start right in their own backyard. In-state prospects Ryan Johnson and Alec Jackson are the primary names to emerge as Auburn preps for a sprint-to-the-finish January.

“They just stress the issue that they need me,” Johnson told SEC Country. “Like I said, they don’t have any D-linemen in the class right now. They just don’t want me to go anywhere else.”

Johnson starred at St. Paul’s Episcopal (Ala.) this season, which earned the 4-star defensive lineman a roster spot in the Alabama-Mississippi all-star game last week in Montgomery. He spent the week with a quintet of Auburn-committed teammates, as did Jackson.

Both linemen applauded the recruiting efforts of Malcolm Askew, KJ Britt, Tadarian Moultry, Jordyn Peters and Igbinoghene.

“They said, ‘Listen, take all your officials, but come to Auburn. You’re an Auburn man,'” Jackson said.

Ferg's Film Room: Breaking down new Auburn QB Jarrett Stidham in his 3 starts at Baylor (SECCountry)

quote:

Of course, having the best wide receiver in college football helped Stidham tremendously. But no matter which receivers he threw to at Baylor, he showed the arm strength and touch to lay passes in there on time.

Fox color commentator Joel Klatt called it “layering” his throws when he called the Kansas State game — placing the pass over the cornerback or linebacker and fitting it under the helping safety. Klatt was especially blown away by Stidham’s arm talent for a true freshman during his call of the Kansas State and Oklahoma State games.

And whenever his receivers were open deep — which happened a lot in the Baylor offense — Stidham never seemed to miss.

Really good read for those that haven't seen much of Stidham and might not get the hype
