Hunter who?
4* S Devon Hunter. Virginia Tech considered the top team right now

Shouldn't be a surprise. He's in my neck of the woods. #bagmanengaged

Coaches apparently had him high on their board.

Good for Auburn. Bad for AuburnCPA's posting and feelings

His film is good. Most film is good, they're all highlights.
Plays a good mix of man and zone. Above average size and speed. Decent instincts. Quality ball skills.
Looks like a Daniel Thomas-like flyer on a true high school CB.

Is this good or bad?
Depends on if you trust McGriff. This guy has been on his wish list all year

He honestly reminds me a good bit of Aairon Savage. Same body type. He may be a little taller.

Savage was a hell of a player... Just could never stay healthy (under the radar recruit as well iirc).

I watched his film.
Good hips, good ball skills, and not that raw, IMO. He seems to have a good grasp on how to play the position.

He was terrible in 2010 before he got hurt again. Maybe because he had not played in 2 years, but that is all I remember about him.

Hey Jones, why don't you update the OP instead of being a doucheflute

Two knee injuries will do that. He was freshman all-sec in 06 and was playing well in 07 before the injury.

I know man. I'm working on it

seems like one of those guys that just didn't care to participate in the camps and stuff, but definitely seems like a player we really wanted.

So can I call Rice fat and lazy now?
Decently connected UGA guy I know said that the UGA staff was pissed that Rice committed to LSU. He apparently committed to Kirby recently and even did an interview with the UGA staff writers (I think it was the 247 guys).
Hopefully Kirby will just stop going after state of AL guys now.

LSU guys been saying Rice didn't like way some teams handled his no in home visit decision Sunday. Wonder if UGA is who they are talking about there considering that seemed his most likely destination

KN with recruiting insider:
- AU feeling good about chances with 4* QB Lowell Narcisse. Lashlee has been the key to AU staying in it and fact that new LSU OC can't meet with Narcisse before he enrolls is big for AU. Due to injury history and fact we have Stidham in fold plan would be to slowly bring him along. FWIW I think if Matt Canada is hired as OC then Narcisse is probably gonna land at AU and Brennan sticks there. Will be interesting to see
- Despite his official visit to Maryland, AU still feels very confident about holding onto 5* OT Calvin Ashley. Interestingly his family is thinking of moving out of the DC area. That would be big for AU as distance from home has been big selling point for Terps
- KN says AU feels they are trending up with 4* S Devon Hunter in the past few weeks. Apparently we are very happy with how are in home visits have gone and thinks there's a chance we pull this off. Virginia Tech still considered the heavy favorite. FWIW I would be shocked if he landed anywhere other than VT
- News is all over the place on 4* CJ Avery. AU feels optimistic but Louisville people are feeling real confident. Right now KN says AU has better than 50/50 shot. FWIW Ryan Bartow just CBd him to Louisville and now the Cards have 5 straight CB picks
- It appeared at one time 3* TE Salvatore Cannella was a lock to AU after visit. Apparently his dad even said they should just end his recruitment after that visit but they took trip to Austin and now Texas is trending. It's become a 50/50 battle with no one quite sure where he lands. If we miss on him McKitty no longer seems like an option. Tigers and him have drifted apart with FSU the favorite now
