Robert Kraeling is the only publicly reported take for AU at the moment.
Which, of course, is likely bullshite. We're 3 months into this signing class, and we supposedly only have one OT as a "take"? That just seems like a convenient statement to make so that you can open up the "well it was never actually confirmed so-and-so was a take officially" excuse when so-and-so top prospect chooses someone else.

It's a little early in the game to create situations in order to save face, no?

I agree. It seems some love to be in a constant state of panic and pessimism.

OT is a position where a number of solid kids pop up at camps and the fall.
Lot of kids still are growing going into JR year. A lot of future studs are only just growing into their frames and won't be able to showcase it till summer camps/fall

Shon Coleman went from 3* to 5* and was good enough to start after cancer. He didn't get real offers from other schools till his senior year

Do you ever take the stick out of your arse, and if so, is it only to replace it with a bigger stick?

FWIW Jonah Williams was not a top target for AU & Keith has been posting that for a month or so.
Consensus top 10 OT, future 5*, awesome offer list, not top target says Keef smh...

Consensus top 10 OT, future 5* because he's a Bama commit, awesome offer list, not top target says Keef smh..
Also Jonah is 6'4. AU likes and wants taller LTs than that. That's why he was not a take. 6'4 LTs are too short for our staff.

That is dumb. G Rob was 6'5". Does an inch make that much difference?

His teammate at Olive Branch was a 5* with a lot of big offers early in the recruiting season but I think he ended up dropping in the rankings and eventually committed to MSU. Don't think he's ever started on the OL for them either.

It definitely can. G Rob also had very long arms, and we don't know how accurate Jonah's height actually is. Maybe he is a tall 6'3 that most round to 6'4. Maybe he has short arms. who knows, but yes, height can be a big factor
