Me too

So No to Riley Cole? Even as a flyer/developmental prospect? We take him in this class redshirt and see what happens? We desperately need linebackers and being rejected by Bama may motivate this kid to prove a point

That's cuz we are getting Ben Davis. Don't need him....

Damn I just want us once to be the ones with the surprise flip

We've had a hard enough time lately, no need to evoke the Wrath of Wade

LBers weren't the issues last year. Lack of quality depth on the DL. We only play two true LBers (not sure what Steele will do), so there is no reason to have 15% of your scholarship's at that position.

We don't need LBs for depth IMO. We just needed to get better LBs with the two spots we had available than Tre Threat and SDjr

We grabbed 4 4* LBs last year. We are far from desperate there.

regrading the 2012 recruiting class

quote:

7. Auburn Tigers

2012 grade: B (7th)

2016 grade: B

Top signees: OT Avery Young, WR Ricardo Louis, LB Cassanova McKinzy, OL Alex Kozan, FB Jay Prosch.

Not necessarily a star-studded class, but a solid one overall by then-coach Gene Chizik. Of the 22 signees, 14 have become contributors -- seven emerged as multi-year starters (Louis, Young, Kozan, McKinzy, Joshua Holsey, Jonathan Jones and Prosch, a transfer in the class who is now in the NFL), the other seven became either part-time starters, solid reserves or valuable special teams contributors. Five players departed either via transfer, dismissal or were non-qualifiers.

Thought this was interesting. I don't think this class was as bad as we like to think it was. Just the signing day sucked

We didn't even get Kozan until damn near March. Signing day sucked.

Who else did we miss that day besides Leonard Williams?

Was that Eddie Goldman's year?

Why doesn't it feel this way? Seems like lack of LB has been the biggest complaint for years. Since Josh Bynes left to be exact.

Also, listening to Coe's dad on Jox and sounds %110 Gump. He made a point to say the grey shirt had nothing to do with Saban and that he has the upmost respect for Saban no matter what happens

Stefon Diggs...even though that came after signing day also. I remember reading that Maryland fans made t shirts for his OV. When Diggs went to a Maryland basketball game that visit, the fans with their shirts made chants for Diggs throughout the game, and all of that is illegal.

I still have high hopes for Richard McBryde.

My favorite linebacker from the 2015 class.

I remember reading somewhere that Derrick Brown's family is planning on telling the 3 schools today whether Brown will be attending their school or not. They said they wanted the losing schools to have enough time to offer a scholly to another kid. Which is very respectable of them.

So if our beat reporters seem either really positive or all of a sudden really negative, that may be because they know about the phone call...

I think it's part of the DL's fault too. Our lack of talent at LB is really noticeable when our DL isn't slowing anything down. I feel like our LB play improved last season as our DL got their shite together.

FWIW, Marshall's scholly was pulled privately, following his visit to uGA. He will definitely pick up the uGA hat. I for one couldn't be happier.

Still looking good for Brown.

Waiting on Warrior before Thomas gets an offer. Different people are hearing different things here. Yeah, T-Rob/Boom were the initial reason for interest, but like Ben Davis, he loves the atmosphere at AU.

Both seem to have at least some misgivings about playing where dad did. Whether it's enough is left to be seen.
