Possibly, BIYAM, this was Rhett's coming out par-tay...and well, tish happens.
As a result, Gus is stuck w/ Rhett. Grimes has somewhere else to go, and since the narrative is happy, he gone.
Hand has to be a stabilizer IMO. Help Gus get his MoJo back.

Your comparisons are at the least laughable, at the most insulting.

Outside of (unproven) Slayton, and with who is leaving, yeah.
They were able to get them because Watson was proven.
IF...we get Stove, MM, NCM, and maybe Richards, w/o a proven QB...
to Craig.

I was saying recruit the super athletes who get offered as non QBs at most top tier schools. Every guy on that list was recruited by top schools as a non QB. Not sure why you are all diva about it

staff feels great about getting NCM and Richards
Things appearing or believed to be a certain way does not mean that is reality. Furthermore, most people would not get feels great out of anything I said yesterday.

E, your personality sucks.

Their schemes and coaching are so good a white walk on freshman can come in and contribute in a national title game.
Don't forget Clemson was without Deon Cain and Artavis Scott just had his knee scoped in DEC. Lowspark completely ignores that the walkon WR looked legit against Minkah Fitzpatrick who was great all year.

lol, Clemson has been stockpiling receivers since Watson was in middle school.

No doubt, just gotta find somebody to throw them the ball.

Obviously there is a difference in what is believed versus what is reality. I don't need a god damn philopsohy class from you. Do not talk to me about reading comprehension if you can't sense the tone of your message changing when your message goes from "staff likes our chances" to "far from a lock."

In Auburn's recruiting world "staff likes our chances" = "Far from a lock"
But seriously, you have a point

Yea he pretty much made my point for me better than I ever could have.

I am genuinely glad you found what I missed. I looked but could not find it. My point remains however that nothing I posted comes remotely close to anything being a lock or feeling great for that matter. And that my friend was the thesis of our discussion.
I'm sorry you're getting all bent out of shape. It's really not worth it. And I can talk to you about comprehension since you took the 1st shot at my personality, which does not bother me. The point there being if you are going to dish it out you damn sure well be ready to take it.

If we can tone down the rhetoric for a bit.
I greatly appreciate the updating of the first post.
It is a good first read to see where we stand.
It think recruiting is such a speculative thing that it can lead to people getting pretty pissy.
It is like thinking your parents got you the cool present for Christmas because you see the big box and then finding out it may only have socks in it.

1. Grimes was asked to look around just like Kevin Steele was.
2. LN choosing Clemson over us is a no brainer right now. Clemson is about to make Deshaun Watson a top 5 pick and our last DT QB is a backup cb in the league.
3. I agree with whoever said it. If we aren't going to try to build a sustainable passing game then let's just put the best athlete at qb and hope for the best.
4. Rhett Lashlee won't be going anywhere until he has a job offer. Gus isnt going to put him on the streets.
5. Disagree with whomever said Clemson's D is nothing special. Their D is way better than ours. They were generating pressure last night with only 3 and 4 linemen. They've been doing it all year. Heck of a dline. If you look at Clemson's Offense they scored a ton this year and done it fast. That defense was on the field a lot. I guess Venables is going to hang in at Clemson until hr can catch on with Dabo at Bama.
6. I've enjoyed watching the turnaround of Ellitor this season. He went from pretty optimistic and sunshiny to a realist in just a few short months. You aren't nega status yet but a few more decommits or a 6-7 win season should do the trick

JB Grimes? There is a ton going on with his situation. He wasn't asked to "look around" due to job performance

It's obvious. That's why LSU and Les met with him to convince him to stay.

Lol nobody wanted Steele to come back to LSU. They were courting Aranda way before Steele was "hired away".

Grimes performance has been steller he's about to put 2 in the league and Braden Smith won't be far behind them. He also signed a great class last year.
Gus wanted to bring in his old high school connections though so that makes Grimes expandable.
Add letting Grimes leave to the growing list of things that will get Gus fired.
Letting Trob and LT leave are already on the list.
