I believe it was Lyndell Wilson that had the "character issues" that you're eluding to not Ben Davis

According to Rivals, Auburn "appears to lead" for the #1 WDE, Antonneous Clayton.

Ben Davis has ZERO character issues. No concerns there.

I don't htink 24 was trying to imply Davis had issues, just that we used to say "Character issues" about kids and now we claim "kid actually wants to go to AU but parents wont let them"

Word around the rumor mill is that Bobby Carr is supposedly leaving Edgewood for St. James. And he might be taking roughly 15 players with him.

acc'd to a Tennessee insider on UT's 247 site, we are leading for Kyle Davis right now.

If Kyle Davis is going to play the Ricardo Louis role, I can see why we would lead. Even horrible QBs can throw bubble screens to the same player all game.

as bad as JJ looked, he did throw for about 240 w/ 2 TDs.

and UT and UGA haven't exactly lit it up in the passing game either.

I get excited thinking about our potential wr group but then I remember we only throw to one guy sometimes 2..

Would love to see our group right now in an offense that spreads the ball around. Davis Smith Stevens Louis and Duke would be fun to watch.

Gus spreads it around pretty normally when he has a QB. It's not like every team in the country has 5 guys they rely on.

We usually rely heavy on the 1st option.

Darvin Adams
Emory Blake
Sammie
Duke
It appears Ricardo is the guy this year

Gus' use of WR's is atrocious. Why any top recruit with ambitions of playing in the NFL would want to play in this offense is beyond me. Our receivers run HS level route trees, even worse than that they are all type-cast into hilariously one-dimensional "roles" which means that the likelihood of them developing a well rounded skill-set is minimal. I've been saying this for years; the robotic nature of his offense sacrifices receiver development so that he can mold players that fit pieces to his overall 'puzzle': deep-threat, screen/end-around guy, etc, etc.

My thoughts as well. If you aren't "the guy" you're destined for 4 years of blocking down field with the occasional catch that no one remembers. If I were Jason Smith I would be moving back to qb. And if I were Darius Slayton I'd move to cb.

Like they have a choice

eta: Duke and Sammie got a solid amount of touches last year with a running QB. Bray and Uzomah were featured as well.

Per 247 AU feels we lead for #1 wr Kyle Davis. Davis as even encouraged D. Craig to attend his announcement in October. Those two have a great relationship. Things can change of course. He's scheduled to attend UGA game this weekend and Oct. 10th 2 weeks before he signs...

AU is looking at several different JUCO qbs. Riley Ferguson the former Vol commit being on . No word on if we'll take another but something tells me we do.

Why do we need juco QBs? Are we seriously that desperate for DT quarterbacks? We have Barrett and the Louisiana Kid coming in,,,,,,,right?
