I think it has a lot to do with Narcisse, and the fact Pass is so wishy-washy. He could pan out, but his HS has issues w/ skill players not doing so.

I usually don't play that card but I'm glad we aren't taking two QBs in this class. I highly doubt either will ever be the guy at Auburn anyway.

I do hope we get Narcisse and Bentley next year though.

Pass needs Kiffin. Look what he was able to do with Blake Simms who is comparable in athletic ability

I don't know that we are passing. I just think that we are finally in a position to stop actively recruiting him. Woody looks good and we have two really great candidates in '17. I think they would take his commitment but they are slowing the pursuit.

Per Gus don't expect KJ to redshirt. Could get action in the wildcat, at RB, or split out wide.

Gus can be so stubborn. Wildcat is the "gimmicky" part of his offense that was figured out when being run without a potent passing threat

I'm not sold on him being an athletic specimen. If you think of JJ as being a less athletic version of Cam, Pass is a less athletic version of JJ without clear passing ability.

Pass screams less athletic Logan Thomas to me

Maybe, but if his arm develops he won't need to do much running. And I think he develops.

I agree is was pointless to run with Marshall back there because he was as good a runner as any of our backs but without a running QB it's not a totally worthless package. Could be good in short yardage situations.

The real big advantage in the wildcat that no one talks about is the unbalanced line in which we move tackle over and put either quality blocking TE at TE at the "gap". Often times, teams don't recognize just how "strong" the strong side is.

Remember, if you pull the OG on a "read option" and HBack or RB picks up backdoor blocking effectively, you have two OTs, two OGs and potentially a HB/RB blocking on the play side

That said, it is a play of deception and numbers in man on man blocking. Nothing gives away your plan like throwing Quan Bray or Michael Dyer out at QB

It is truly effective when the D either doesn't recognize or recognizes late and is in the middle of their alignment adjustment (#HUNHBenefits) and guys are out of position in the scramble

dude, if he had 1/4th of Logan Thomas' arm strength I'd take him.....he doesn't have it. Thomas had a CANNON for an arm. Pass' arm is mediocre.
