Its flattering to know that all they care about is their record against us. Anytime someone brings up them not winning anything they throw out his record against Auburn like it equals winning championships. Them stalking our recruiting thread says enough.

Apparently an unrated fast WR from Virginia named Kalel Grant is fast, tearing it up in camp, and impressing AU staff

They're reading the thread and trying to find melts to feel better about tDrought (1980 - )

I absolutely LOVE to show UGA's 1980 schedule whenever they bring up that MNC.

What a shite-show of a schedule that was.

Never realized just how fortunate they were that everyone else lost a game that year

-UGA's 1980 opponent win % was 40.7%
-8/12 Opponents UGA faced in 1980 had losing records-
-UGA played only 1 opponent who finished in AP top 25
-UGA only played on conference opponent with a winning record
-Avg victory margin over opp w/ winning record is 4.75

Losing Record
Georgia Tech (1-9-1)
Auburn (5-6, 0-6 SEC)
Kentucky (3-8, 1-5 SEC)
Vandy (2-9, 0-6 SEC)
Ole Miss (3-8, 2-4 SEC)
TCU (1-10)
tAggies (4-7)
Tennessee (5-6, 3-3 SEC)

Winning Record
Clemson (6-5)
Notre Dame (9-2-1)
Florida (8-4, 4-2)
South Carolina (8-4)

I realize Tega is incredibly raw technique wise, but watching him move at his side on highlight film is ridiculous.

If he puts any effort in at all to learn the D & technique, he is going to be a monster

Exactly.

This was my freshmen year at Auburn too. I knew then what a piece of shite schedule it was. If they hadn't had Herschel Walker that year bringing attention on that team, nobody would have paid attention to them IMO.

And even WITH Herschel Walker, as you point out above, their avg victory margin over opponents with winning records was 4.75.

The ultimate example of why the old system of choosing "champions" was shittier than anything we've come up with since the 1990's.

Looks like former Auburn recruits D'Anfernee McGriff and Chidi Valentine-Okeke are struggling to get qualified, by the way (not surprising).

I think all of Auburn's signees are enrolled now?

I would think we would recruit McGriff out of Juco.

I may be the only one, but i would love to see him at TE. 6-8 250, can run like a deer and has great hands.

We would let him go to waste at TE. Needs to be DE.

Considering Malzahn uses the TE like once or twice a game, that would be a huge waste

I don't think we ended up on the best of terms with McGriff.

You UGA lurking circle jerkers can take this back to your board. Yes you are kicking our arse in recruiting GA kids right now. You should, you are the state school in Georgia. Maybe in 2-3 years you will finally get pay off from it and if you do the spoils will be yours.

However, as of right now Auburn has more SEC titles than UGA since Richt has been there, 2 undefeated seasons, 2 national title appearances, a national title (really should be 2 and :13 away from a third) while you have a Sugar Bowl win over Hawaii and there isn't a single one of you who wouldn't trade your last 15 years for ours. Sooo.... GFY, EAD, come back when you win something. 35 years and counting. WDE.

p.s. I remember when I used to care deeply about head to head records vs. other teams. Then my team started winning titles and I didn't have to dig so deep to manufacture bright spots anymore.
