We wouldn't have backed off unless Ivey told us for sure what he was doing

Good, even still I think we should have gone hard for both!

Or we are worried about his qualifying

With these new recruiting limits, you can't go wasting NLIs on NQs.

I feel like if that were true, he would have committed when he was supposed to on foxsports.

ETA: I'm still not all that confident on Ivey. Feel like he picks the gators.

Trying too hard to read tea leaves. Could be a number of things:

1. Could have decided he likes lsu better or has a better chance at early pt;

2. Could be the only commitable offer he holds due to grade concerns

3. Could be AU has been told Ivey is coming and moved on. This seems the least likely because the coaches know, even if Ivey told them he was coming, that he could have a change of heart before NSD.

People get too worked up over/committed to speculation and rumors and look for justifications when their opinions or expectations are wrong.

I wasn't saying for sure that we backed off. RandySavage was saying we made a mistake if we decided to wait on Ivey instead of Chidi. I said we wouldn't do that unless Ivey told us for sure

Why do you assume we didn't?

So does Tega follow Chidi to LSU?
IMO no. They aren't a set package deal.

@ChadSimmons_: I do not expect Chidi Valentine-Ekeke and Prince Tega-Wanogho to end up at the same school. Same mascot? Maybe. Stay tuned...

I knew he was joking. Rocky always is. I was just clarifying.

Is NSD early this year? I don't remember it being so close to the Super Bowl in previous years.

That's what recruiting from a fan's perspective is all about.

AU staff not concerned

I don't know why you insist in continually criticizing people for being normal recruiting fans. Rocky does not go grasping for the tea leaves (hell, he starts some of his own) but you don't see him criticizing people who do. Let people enjoy the recruiting roller coaster ride bruh even if the rise ends in crashing and burning.

Confirmed by multiple sources, 247Sports has learned that Miami (FL) Norland DB Carlton Davis will not be signing with Ohio State when National Signing Day comes around next Wednesday, and it now looks like Auburn is sitting comfortably in the driver's seat to land the 4-star prospect.

Davis took an official visit to Auburn last weekend and reports following the trip were positive for the Tigers. Gus Malzahn, Travaris Robinson, and Will Muschamp went in-home with Davis on Tuesday night, which apparently sealed the deal for Auburn, as the Davis Family has told Ohio State not to make their scheduled visit this evening.

No. It's always the first Wednesday in February. We are having one of those rare February Super Bowls.
