I hope he goes and shows out like Sean White did last year.

New rivals article up on Kenny Carter's little brother 2016 DE/DT Marlon Davidson

quote:

Davidson measured in at 6-foot-4, 265 pounds last Sunday at the Rivals Camp Series in Birmingham. Davidson has gained nearly 30 pounds since last year and projects as a strongside defensive end, or even a defensive tackle down the road.

I would love to get Smith on board Sooner rather than Later. Then we can go after Holland and McBryde.

Bowman Archibald just committed to Miami. Wasn't a take for Auburn yet per KN.

What the frick is going on with our TE prospects?

First that badass commited to UNC last week and now Archibald to Miami. I guess we're all in for Jalen Wilkerson?

I speculate that they are holding out hope that they can make some sort of big push for Will Gragg or Devonaire Clarington. Clairington listed us as one of the schools that was recruiting him hardest about a week ago.

I'm kind of surprised there hasn't been more AU talk with Gragg given his status as a top prospect from Arkansas...

Take a look at Gus's offense. It is great for a blocking TE with some occasional passes. A top producing TE who wants to contribute heavily and rack up stats for a NFL look may not see Gus's offense as right for them.

It's pretty crazy to compare the TE we took very early in the process last year -- Chris Laye -- to the guys we're supposedly passing on now. Amazing what 11 wins, an SEC Championship, and tons of national exposure can do for recruiting.

and I agree with you... the traditional in-line TE isn't going to get the production here that he would in a more pro style offense.

Which is exactly why Laye was taken. He is a big kid and a very good athlete. He has very good hands as well. I think he will end up surprising some folks in a couple years, BOOKMARK IT!

Per AUC, Tyler Queen will have his throwing elbow examined by Dr. Andrews. He injured it pitching in a HS baseball game recently. His dad doesn't think the injury will require surgery

Stuff like this is why I'm still amazed that FSU lets Jameis be a dual sport athlete. More power to them. Guess it worked out.

This is a very good TE class and AU is in the mix on a lot of them. The staff is being patient right now.

He's a take but I would not say we are All In on him. We have a lot of lines in the TE water right now.
