I don't believe you.
From the 2014 class alone

-Donty Russell-AU was his dream school but stayed committed to UGA for a long time
-Terrone Prescod-said for a long time AU was the one offer he was waiting on but he did not commit when he got it and the staff quickly moved on
-Myron Burton-AU legacy who waited 11 days to commit after he was a take
-Stephen Roberts-grew up a huge AU fan but stayed committed to Bama for a long time

A recruiting service that doesn't talk to a 4* visiting recruit. Sound business practice.
It's an AU sports site first and foremost. Since JGT had to cover the baseball game Hoke had to cover the basketball game. I would say Allie could have gotten to DW like Penny did for AUC but she's in a sorority and I believe their meetings may be on Wednesday nights so she may not have been able to be there to get to DW.

We sucked. When we didn't suck he committed.

Terrone Prescod
His loyalty and his pride wouldn't let him flip.

Myron Burton
Pride thing again. He had to save at least a little dignity, for at least a few days.

Waited to see, he said, if what Gus had told him was true. In actuality, we sucked. When we didn't suck he flipped.

You're kidding, right? Rivals' foundation, it's bread and butter, it's nature and essence is recruiting. They aspire to other things but are inferior to newspapers and news site. No way around it. Hoke is arrogant and slow and he sucks. He and AUR would be heartened to know you got their back, though.

I don't have their back. I just call a spade a spade. I'm an AUC guy all the way. I know recruiting in AUR's bread and butter and nothing in my post said or implied it wasn't. The reality is AUC is much better suited for recruiting though than AUR. JGT and Hoke are strictly journalists and by that standard are very good at writing stories IMO. Both of them however contribute little to nothing in evalling recruit talent. What they do best is cover sports and write articles. Plain and simple. AUC on the other hand has a guy in Niebuhr who has many years covering recruiting and evalling talent all over the Southeast. They also have Austin Penny who I believe will be like Kipp Adams in e few years evalling talent as a regional analyst.

As for the players you rebutted on, no matter the reason, they did not and usually do not commit to their dream school immediately. Kids who grew up Bama fans don't usually immediately commit even when takes for them. It's not just an AU thing. Kids want to look around and enjoy the experience now a days. Whether it makes sense or not doesn't matter.

Not concerned. He did not have an AU offer. Good for him though.

Damn. He's going all over the place. UGA seems to think they can steal him from Tennessee.

Not sure where to put this so I'll put it here: From 247

quote:

No. 1 D’haquille Williams
No. 10 Stanton Truitt
No. 24 Derrick Moncrief
No. 47 Chris Laye
No. 52 Xavier Dampeer

Here's some new guys jersey numbers.

Bryan Matthews seems to think Barbee will be fired the day after the season ends. And Bruce Pearl is unlikely to end up at Auburn

Jonathan Ford will work at Corner in the spring. They'll see how well he does compared to the other guys and then evaluate whether to move him to RB.
