AU offered 4* RB Ronald Jones yesterday. Highlights FWIW IMO this kid would be a stud in our O.

Per BOL McBryde says he's still an AU lean after the Bama offer even though he grew up a Bama fan.

How many years does Ricky Parks have to play? He's going to be a stud in this offense

3 to play 3, I believe... he redshirted in 2012 and sat our 2013... so he's got three more season of eligibility.

I watched his highlights last night and thought he looked very uncomfortable running the ball. Nothing seemed smooth or easy for him. A lot of these guys you see making fluid cuts and changing direction in one motion. Everything looks forced and awkward with this guy. He looks confused and flustered in the backfield, and when he meets a defender in the open field. Plus he is a twig! Doesn't have the frame for muscle mass.

Plus he has explosive speed burst when he hits the hole. Defenders aren't getting them even when they should have the angle.

I have to agree with E on this one. I really liked his film. Great burst and ability to separate, though I do question the competition in that tape. Looks to have really good vision. Now, he does have really choppy feet in the hole when he is making that cut after getting the hand off, but I don't see that as a bad thing. I'll say he looks similar to Keith Marshall coming out of HS. Maybe not quite as fast, but similar runners.

Yeah, I am definitely with E here. Could he use some coaching? Yes. What he has can't be taught. Picture him doing what Louis does now, only he will get to the edge a step quicker. He outruns angles.

3* Montavius Atkinson Notes per AUC LINK
-called AU his dream school
-being recruited at Safety and Star, not LB
-putting education first and the fans being outrageous is what stands about AU
-Has AU #1 right now
-He and teammate D'Andre Walker would like to play together in college if they can.

one thing I'm really, really liking about recruits considering both us and Bama is that they all feel that AU gives them the better shot for more early PT. I continually hear this from DL recruits. Which actually makes me laugh because our DL is absolutely better than Bama's, and deeper. Anyone who would argue otherwise is a liar. But hey, if it lands us some 'croots, hells yeah!

I agree KK. And thanks for pointing that out though. Once the guys we have currently wind up being drafted some of that will change, perception wise.

Well, we do have 4 Sr's and a couple juco guys at DT this year, so we'll have plenty of PT soon enough. We've only taken two high school DT's in the last two years in Adams and Russell. If Daniel moves inside permanently, that would be 3, but with the rotations we have, we'll have a lot of PT available in the next few years.
