Top 10 OLine article said the staff "believes they're in the ball game" and "they won't give up."

That screams Bama Lock to me.

Not to me when it's combined with the tidbit from Keith last Saturday or Sunday. It was Not in an article. That's why I said before his bama junior day in my OP. Things may have very well changed and Warmack be a Bama lock after his Bama visit. I am just going to wait til Keith or another recruiting reporter actually confirms that.

No offense Ellitor, but when has "playing time" ever really pushed a kid away from Alabama?

I certainly dont expect it to start with the younger brother of a former standout player of theirs.

Tyler Carr doesn't seem like he is going to add 60 pounds worth of cheeseburgers to his frame in the next 6 months so I doubt it

Fair enough but as I said many times I don't judge things in recruiting based on past events, just current info and the info from Keith last week said the early potential for PT at AU was making DW think hard about AU. With that said, I'm not naive. I am picking DW to stick w/ Bama til he would actually flip.

it doesn't seem like that big a deal... what harm is it in recruiting warmack? Sure, odds are long he signs anywhere other than alabama, but that should stop the coaches.... just b/c it might hurt some message board fans' egos.

Who said we should stop recruiting Warmack? Haven't seen anybody say that.

in my uneducated opinion, Carr is a much better college prospect than Sims, even though both have similar recruiting ratings.

Carr is much better than Sims. He has legit offers from us, Bama, and UGA

I was referring to TC maybe taking too long to commit somewhere, like JS did. Was not comparing the two. Though IMO, we're in pretty good with a bunch a OTs and OGs better than TC.

***News from other boards***
From bama board, from uga poster Crowknows, re: Trent Thompson:

quote:

Coach is a huge AU guy and is taking Trent on visits to everywhere but UGA in a rumored attempt to break the UGA stranglehold...

...He just wants him at Auburn and is using visits to other schools to try to get Trent to change his mindset.
This is from a very reliable UGA insider, but TIFWIW. It's pretty fricked up if true, imo. The facts sort of bear it out. His coach has taken him to visit Auburn 4 times, FSU 3 times, Alabama, Florida, and Tennessee since his last UGA visit.

I don't know if this is true or not, but I hope it is. I hope there's a coach somewhere helping us out with a topnotch recruit. Just once!

I'm so glad our coaches don't bother to read message boards...

stating a guy is a "lock" implies a guy is 100% going somewhere, and there is no reason left to pursue... so is he lock or not? Or maybe my definition of lock is off...

I don't know if he is pushing him away from UGA but I was told that the guy loves him some Auburn. Came with Trent to JR day last year. No idea why he loves Auburn though

He's a Bama lock IMO. Doesn't mean I think they should stop recruiting him. Because like you said what does it hurt to recruit him?

Good thing for UGA and other schools the HS coach is not the primary decision maker in this recruitment. Mama is.

He will have his hunnies flirt with the scouts for about 5 minutes while he runs the 40 so his time looks better.

Girlfriend is a GA in the AD already. Wouldn't be shocked. If he understands the game half as well as coaches give him credit for, he probably will be a great GA/Coach.

Dad is a coach as well too right?

Does she have more or less influence as Rashaan's mom did?

Mom likes UGA but from what I remember, she isn't going to force him to go to UGA. Also, proximity wise it will be easy for her to visit

Not sure, but damn that guy is delusional. I was walking down the stadium ramps after a game when he struck up a conversation out of the blue. He was baiting me to compliment Holland's play. Luckily I realized oh he was quickly, and as politely as I could, informed him how poorly his son had played.
