I'm under the impression of 2...but unsure of that completely.

JHoke is saying that the Wazzu reporters truly believe that Turner would have started from day 1. His highlight film seems solid enough but lacking some technical refinement for CBs

Auburn will need that solid #2 option at cornerback if Josh Holsey stays at safety. Jonathan Jones and the rest of the guys are pretty unproven (aside from John Mincy).

Then why turn him down?

If nobody steps up then Holsey will move into that spot. Jones has been pretty impressive in the time he has gotten though.

I know we all love Chris Davis but I was disappointed with his CB performance all year. I really was hoping he would be an elite level corner while here. JMincy really stepped up as the season went along though.

I really like guys like Jonathan Jones for CB. I think we will be slightly improved at the position next year and it will look 100x better since our safety play should be better too

ETA: I hope TJ Davis can do something. Kid is 6'1 190. He should fit CB perfectly for EJ

He doesn't get jailtime and we have a track record of recruiting some tPOS (and then they become All-SEC superstars )

Also looks like he has 3 to play 2 to clarify based on JHoke

well I disagree.

I thought he was the 2nd best defender on the team behind Dee Ford.

Therizie was easily the best defender we had.

If the measure is consistency through the whole year then I completely agree. Plus CD was the best cover CB on the team easily this year.

Really? I mean, I always thought Mincy played better once he stepped it up. I still would have Therezie and Wirght above Davis regardless. I mean Wright had a pretty darn good year and obviously Therezie did

I just don't think there were many superstars on the field for our defense (Lawson/Adams and such were FR they don't count yet)

Mincy seemed to always be with his guy but on the wrong side, or just this side, or screened. Hopefully he takes the next step this year.

I can agree with this. He was consistent playing at his level

Not saying much.

I really thought Mincy did exceptional towards the end of the year and what the earlier expectations were of him. He was picked on and held his ground quite a bit. I think he was on CD's level towards the ending

I think CD is good but I just don't think he was elite and I wanted him to be. I think we will remember him more favorably due to the kick6

Wright was better and RT had monster games but neither one was consistent through the year. There were games where you did not even hear their names. CD did get beat a few times but not nearly as much as Mincy. Also there were a few games where for some odd arse reason Mincy would start out on the #1 WR & CD on #2. The #1 would blow up on Mincy then either be stopped or slowed down by CD.
