Tweet promo overstated the actual interview IMO. Here are Trent's quotes for you guys to decide
quote:
Georgia is the home school, home state, first school to offer me, first school to really show me some love,” Thompson said. “Somebody could change that. Auburn in stepping in more. They’ve been sending love. They’ve been talking to my mom more. And Clemson, they’re showing a lot of love.
There’s more schools — Florida State, Bama, Florida — but those are the top three right now.
It just feels different up there,” Thompson said of Athens, Ga. “I get a different feeling at each school I go to, but when I get to Georgia it just puts a smile on my face. It feels like home.
They’re close (AU)… they’re close,” Thompson said. "They really are. Every time I go up they show me a better time. I always have a good time. I’m not going to make a hasty decision. I know Coach [Rodney] Garner puts people in the league and I like that.
"They’re going to give me the heads up this week — my mom and my coach are, (about if Trent goes to BCW or not)
You know I’m going to get up to Auburn” this summer.

Yep, Niebuhr talked to TT yesterday. And we are still #2, which has been the case prior to now. This will be determined by the seasons the two schools have, IMNSHO. Of course the puppies are again saying that Keith made this up.
If they were any other team, I would feel bad for the fans. They have felt the preseason excitement every year because they SHOULD be contenders. Then they watch us play for, and even win a Natty with QB's their coach passed on. (At least as QB's anyway)

February is a long ways off. A good season for Auburn will really piss a lot of the ranters off. Especially if we start flipping recruits. Damn... that would be heavenly! More bagman shiet

Yep. When we win the SEC again and flip recruits, ATPB 2.0 will be upon us. (man those were good times)

Hale Hentges is the #1 TE target on AU's board. I was really hoping he would visit AU again before committing.

FWIW a Michigan 247 reporter just started a thread on BOL telling them Bama was getting a big commitment tonight. I am still doing research but it looks like it will be Bama for Hentges despite the CB in tOSU's favor.

thanks ellitor, I'll be keeping close tabs tonight. I've been out of the loop, sort of, the last few days.

A while back news broke that Gibson was going to make a "huge" announcement. So I find myself, a grown adult, going to a 17-year-old kids twitter page expecting to see which school the kid decided to commit to. As I'm reading through all of this stuff I feel like I'm reading a kids email to his buddies. To be honest, typical teenage BS. In amongst all of the dribble there is a post that he narrowed his list down to something like 12 or 15 schools, but nothing about a commitment, a leader,.... nothing about Auburn.
A short time later I find out the "breaking news" was that he narrowed his choices down to a smaller pile of universities. I can honestly say I felt like a royal dumb-arse. From that point on I let the experts read the twitter's and I listen to what they say.

quote:Great question. There are a number of TEs on the sraff's board but other than HH and CC none of them seem to stand out right now. We'll have to wait till Keith or Bryan do an article on TEs to know who's up after HH.
whose next on our board?
