Too late for him I would assume. Should have come back to AU.

In all fairness on Denson, when we offered he wasn't even rated. If I recall, he came to a camp and showed out.

I know that is the case with Slammie, I thought Denson was a solid 3*?

I would love JaQueezy at WR. Kid is a stud

Denson was a 4* on rivals by the time he signed.

So if we take Darryl Williams on the OL, do we take one more after that and done?
AUC says the staff likes him at C. I'd guess two more OL, which I think we need for depth coming up in the next few years.

I think he missed his window. He will be a sophomore this year and a junior before he could play again? I don't think he burned bridges and I don't blame him for choosing A&M over Auburn at the time, just a choice that didn't work out well for him.

Maybe he is exactly what we need. I only say that because of the way WR recruits are seeing us. If he still had 3 years, why not? Unless there are issues we aren't aware of. He is a big, tall, elite WR.

Duke and Slammie will be gone by then. No?

Fun story about Andrew Williams, when he was in town for the UGA game he brought along a friend from his HS. After "The Catch" and exciting ending, he was invited and given a wristband as one of the elite prospects in attendance to go into the locker room after the game. He knew it would be a cool experience for his friend so he gave his friend his wristband and pretended to lose his so they both could go in.
Thought it was pretty cool for a high level recruit to be looking out for his "nobody" friend like that in the middle of a historic game

quote:You're correct as usual. They will likely be gone by then. I know we look good on Jovon but MO on JW comes from the POV that statistically if it does not work out for a kid with a school a first time regardless of the reason the chances of there being a second time are very long. (Although Gus has bucked that with Ricky, Jason Smith, and looks good with Jovon). UGA will need WRs even more than us by then so they are my guess right now if Jaquay goes to another D1 school.

All the situations are so incredibly different. I agree that JW seems like a longshot but
Jason Smith- Placed in JUCO which indicates long term plans
Jovon Robinson- Freakishly weird recruiting situation
JW- Chose another school out of prep school
Ricky Parks- Kicked off team
None of those situations are the same

Bryan Matthews changed his twitter. LINK He added the au on the end of his twitter name just like Phillip Marshall did when he starting writing for the official athletic site. I think Bryan is going to start writing for the University. 5 hours ago he tweeted he will be in New York to see Greg Robinson so he is still covering Auburn.

Well that is some consolation I suppose. As long as AUC gets a Good team reporter.
