oh yeah... just usually not on OOS kids.

This one was just so blatant... i mean we'd never heard of him, then he's favoring AU and visiting this weekend... then the story comes out on the SECR that he's picking UT before he finished his visit to his supposed leader... we were set up, i tell ya...

My point is you don't have to have big numbers at WR to go pro. Sammie had better stats last season than Patterson did in 2012 and if he replicates it he will again. As stated earlier Patterson was drafted high because he can stretch the field and his measurables, not because of having a big stats year.

everyone should just consider Sammie a senior... dude's not coming back.... i know I wouldn't after four years in the program (especially if i had my degree... not sure where he stands on that).

Sammie all depends on where his draft stock is. His athletic ability alone will push him up the boards but having refined and polished film and improvement could put him as a top of the board WR

the only way I see it is if he has a serious injury that causes him to miss the majority of the season... if he puts up solid numbers like last year (or close to them) he'll get a combine invite and test really well.... not DQ like numbers, but his measurables are legit.

besides, how many good WRs stay until their RS senior years?... if they have legitimate NFL aspirations, who could blame him?

I think Sammie beats DQ in 40, vertical, bench press and long jump. I think DQ is an elite athlete but Sammie's measurable are off the charts. I doubt Coates beats him in agility/change of direction drills like shuttle

If Coates goes over 1000 yards, he is gone. If he is in the 800 yard territory, finishing up his last year, getting another championship (back to back ) and improving draft stock can be attractive

I don't think Coates is as electric and has the agility DQ has but if DQ is faster than Sammie straight line, it is by the slimmest of margins. I just think Sammie will win the straight line speed test

Additionally, when Sammie throws a dunk down on you in a pick up game that is highlight worthy, you refuse to believe someone has a higher vertical. Against the rules

Duke Williams is a freak athlete but there's no way he's faster than Sammie Coates.

Dook is what the LSU fans refer to him as (from what I remember). We just need to pick a name and move one

Why don't we just call him by his name or DQ or something like that since no one can decide what his actual nickname is?
