I couldn't care less about the ACT or about what they care about. I saw that the UK player was brought up earlier so I decided to bring that information here.

I just was trying to point out to casual readers not to expect some news on Purifoy as a result due to the investigations being independent.

Wasn't trying to correct you or anything

Ahh okay. Gotcha.

What exactly can the ACT do in their investigation? It's not like they can make Purifoy retake the test to see where he will score again, right?

I have read that retaking a "validation test" can happen. Don't know what merits it though

I think the investigation probably is into testing site irregularities, reaching out to proctor and other exam takers, and looking answer selection similarities between students in the room

MCT, rank the players on our team from most to least likely to have a NBA career.

I realize a guy like Granger probably isn't going to make it but humor me. Just interested in if my idea of guys talent ceilings isn't way off base

I will take a stab at it..

Most likely: Purifoy
Least likely: Everyone else except for Spencer, maybe Bowers

THe only one on that list that seems a little weird to me is New Williams, just because his athletic ability. Seems like a guy given 4 years of development could be a Shannon Brown type player who makes it but is just a role player

Bowers is a very unrefined 6'5 PF who can't shoot. I wouldn't be shocked to see him do very well overseas given his skills just not NBA

I thought about putting him higher but at his size he almost has to play pg. He has a long way to go to be able to play the position.

Kind of an odd question considering our talent level right now. We don't have any real NBA prospects on our team, besides maybe Purifoy. Hoping that will change in the coming years. I can list the number of AU players on one hand, who made it in the NBA. We might want to finish above.500 first.

Barkley
Chuck Person
Marquis Daniels
Chris Morris
Porter for a short time
Wesley Person a short time
????

You missed a ton of players

Jamison Brewer - 54 games
Pat Burke - 127 games
Bobby Cattage - 78 games
Eddie Johnson - 675 games
John Mengelt - 636 games
Mike Mitchell - 759 games
Chris Morris - 747 games
Mamadou NDiaye - 69 games
Stan Pietkiewicz - 96 games

With a couple more that played less than 10 games

Loosely related since CD3 is playing pro ball somewhere foreign. Apparently CD3 is the biggest Auburn football fan ever.

Yeah he got mad every time Barbee scheduled a practice during a football road game

Funny that his passion for it never changed.. That was back when the two teams got along

Stan Pietkiewicz

He is very big in Orlando basketball and is starting to help build up Auburn in the area. He is very pro AU and likes where we are going - Courtesy of Stan's nephew

Fun Fact: Stan Pietkiewicz's nephew is god awful at basketball. I don't understand how your uncle can be a NBA player and you barely can dribble a basketball

Most NBA Potential

Purifoy
Harris
Spencer
Lang
Bowers
Granger
Brown
Canty Dean

Purifoy and Harris have the size and game
Spencer has the size and is a shot blocker.
Lang can shoot and is nearly 6'7 needs to work on his D
Bowers can run the court like a guard but hes 6'8 and he's tough around the rim. Always a place in the league for guys like that.
Grangers got good size and can score a little so he'll make it
If Brown were an inch or 2 taller he would be a 1st round talent. Not many 6'3 2 guards in the league these days

Bowers only measures at 6'8 when standing on a 3 inch step

Granger has absolutely no shot at making the league. He has below average athleticism, is not comfortable handling the ball, average passer and average post play. He is only 6'8-6'9 that isn't tall for the NBA

He needs to work on his D to make the league but he is going to be our best wing defender this year

Disagree. He is definitely one of the more athletic guys on the team. He can jump out of the gym. His biggest problem is basketball IQ and technique.
