@kkolumbo @Smuphy fwih, he (SDH) was told on the phone that if he commits elsewhere his spot will be taken (hence the Davis offer) for good.

This answers my earlier question regarding recruits that choose Bama over Auburn and I agree with this approach 100%. Hopefully it will cut down on all of the trolling and back & forth between the two schools

That's kind of a one sided deal anyway.

I am not sure it makes a statement across the board on philosophy. I think it's more a reflection of coaches having graded SDH slightly higher which gives them the opportunity to take Davis immediately and forget SDH. Now if there is a recruit who Auburn likes much better than the next available and feels they can flip the guy I expect the coaches may stay on said recruit.

This is all very reasonable but I'm moreso referring to the Reuben Foster, C. Koun(sp?), Brent Calloway type of incidents and hoping that we walk away sooner rather than later just to avoid all of the drama

If our coaching staff is paying attention to the internet and message boards, which is where the drama comes from, then they need to be fired.

Clint Trickett is transferring from FSU. I wonder if D. Craig could reel him in to AU??

Which one of those 3 examples I mentioned did not end up being discussed by the national media? Also, do you think other recruits are unaware of these incidents? Perception is a big part of recruiting.

My only point is that the last couple of recruiting cycles have been rough and hopefully things start to calm down with the new recruiting staff

No. You should be ashamed of yourself for even suggesting it
