Roberts mentioned Malcomb Buggs wanting an Auburn scholly...this isn't a package deal type of situation is it?

Buggs doesn't have the measurables, but he balls out as much as Roberts against the same competition.

Just thinking outside the box but is it possible we could move Therezie to corner or safety with a healthy Garret coming back next year. Obviously we have no idea how "good" Garrett is, but if he has another outstanding spring I have to think the coaches will want to get him on the field. Therezie could definitely take over the CHris Davis role IMO

What's going on with Cortez McDowell? Any chance on the flip?
Also, one thing I'd like to add about Malzahn and the way he handled the Roberts flip, and will probably handle SDH; He could have held it out and told Roberts to stay solid to the Tide and flip right before signing day. I honestly don't think Saban would tell those two to take a hike (being top-10 in state kids), so it could have left them scrambling. We all know examples I am referring to.
Classy or too nice?

I tend to agree. I would have liked to have seen Malzahn dish it back.

quote:NSD flip or close to was not the plan. The plan was to flip Iron Bowl weekend but Roberts could not wait so he did it today.

Also holding for an NSD flip is pointless given commitment means little to Saban and Bama has been looking to get players they like better than Roberts. They were likely dropping him anyway.

I know he has no issues dropping players, it just seems like it'd be harder for him to do being a top-10 in state guy. Just a thought, I'm probably off base with it.

Id rather him just go ahead and flip. Makes it harder to change his mind down the road.

Yeah, I see that side too, but Foster comes to mind. Guess I'd just like to see some medicine dosed back.

I would like to know where all this "Saban was looking to drop Roberts" stuff is coming from?
Is this what our paid insiders are saying?

Does not need to come from paid insiders. Just watch how he recruits. He is always looking for an upgrade. In this case he is in good shape with two 5* corners. If He gets them then one of the already committed CBs has to go. Not necessarily Roberts but one of him or Bessent had to go to make room for Saban's plans. Also I think them not taking Roberts' phone calls yesterday was pretty telling.
Another thing. Don't forget how he took commits from Kirven and Tomlinson leaving Philon out to dry on NSD in 2012 who had been committed for months.

Meh,I'm not gonna argue the point, but it does for me vs the bama propaganda machine.
Anyway, Philon was a low grade talent. Roberts is a top level talent.
