Seems probable. I think he has been to Auburn more this season than Tuscaloosa. Our staff never really stopped recruiting him apparently.

Any word on DT Josh Frazier lately? I figured our staff would be on him pretty hard since he's from Arkansas. I see he's in the IB visiting list...do we have a legit shot at him, or is he coming just because it's the IB?

Anyone know when ESPN is going to rate their top 100 JUCOs? I know ESPN is far from the authority on recruiting but on signing day, a lot of people tune in and recruits love being on ESPN.

This is setting up to be the best recruiting class we've had since the early 2000's

Nino - We apparently have at least 2-3 guys we have to miss on first. Garner really likes D. Russell and he is listening. Shaw is another one higher as well. If he gets medical clearance we can sign him IMO. Then you add Lawrernce and A. Williams is believed to be a future DT by the staff as well.

I may be way off, but I just don't buy they are cutting him off. I don't doubt they can replace him with someone just as good (or better), but still.
I never saw anyone say or imply they were cutting him off unless providing outs for him to leave the class means the same as cutting him off.

I agree with you SAaban is making a mistake with in state kids but this is nothing new. Their recruitment of Roc was very peculiar if you remember.

Bama has also turned the heat way up for Evans
I would be surprised if that's true. They were recruiting Hands and Evans for the same position.

People on the Bama Board (and elsewhere) are saying different

So are we going to put Roberts at safety and go for another corner? I don't see many Safeties that we are targeting.

Just depends on what we get with the last 2 DB spots. Staff is recruiting best available and will adjust accordingly. Hoke said this next part yesterday and I agree with him. I have a sneaky feeling 3* Safety Demetrius Kemp ends up in this class.

my hope is that roberts is a true corner from the start... he's only around 5-11/6-0... I'm ready for more of the bigger bodies/longer arms type at safety.

He's listed at 6'0 and 6'1 on 247 and Rivals respectively. And he has pretty good length. He's playing safety in the Under Armour Game, so he may end up there. Also, many of the best NFL safeties are around his size. Big safeties are overrated. Give me a safety that can read routes and cover

Just wanted to say this. Roberts was a a huge get for Auburn and the staff. Regardless of whatever the circumstances are on Bama's end Roberts deciding to flip speaks a lot of the work this staff has done, especially Rhett Lashlee. He is the lead recruiter for Roberts and East Alabama. He is quickly becoming a budding star recruiter. He still has one big fish out there in Evans. Getting Roberts put CRL at 17 in the nation in recruiter rankings. Here is his recruiter profile LINK
