It's really hard to actually bother Bama fans when it comes down to recruiting...they have an embarrassment of riches

Yeah, they seem fine with Roberts leaving, because better players are available. I wouldn't have thought much of it, but we have fans over there who agree.
I thought Roberts was one of the top DB's in the south? I haven't followed recruiting as close this year, so things could have changed.
What gives?

I don't doubt that, but I just find it hard to beleive they would kick a very talented instate guy to the curb. Especially when his destination would be AU.
Also, it seems moves like this would hurt their relationships with Alabama high school programs and further strenghten ours.
I may be way off, but I just don't buy they are cutting him off. I don't doubt they can replace him with someone just as good (or better), but still.

They will still be able to get top kids in-state. I just think we are leveling the playing field a good bit by taking this approach this year. It will be sweet showing local kids how to beat Bama after they have been snubbed by them!!

Very important get for us. Kid is a baller and keeping both Opelika kids is important. Now if we get Evans then we have done our job locally
