No. And its been that way for close to a month. My ppl are guys who hang out with him on a regular basis. One's a Bama fan one's an Auburn fan. So I'd say they're legit. But yeah its just March so we can't get too worked up.

I agree. Roc and Barber would be damn close and might turn out to be better in Malzahn's offense.

I think Roc is going to be a similar type back to Todd Gurley. Both seem like natural athlete/runners with power who are well rounded. Hopefully if he comes to AU he will have that type of production. Long way to go. Anyone have an idea on when his announcment timetable is?

Peyton Barber will be interesting to me. Will our coaches want him to just be a huge bruiser and have him pack on pounds or will he stay in his relative weight range and be a bruiser who can do a little more?

I don't really see that much power in Roc. I see exceptional balance, change of direction and elusiveness more like Cadillac and Yeldon. And I think bc of Malzahn's offense they'll keep Barber at the same weight. A gigantic bruiser wouldn't be able to keep up in that offense.

Soon my friend. Soon we will return to those glorious days. Malzahn will be Nick Saban's Pat Dye and he will restore order in the state.

It is near impossible to replicate Gurley since he is obviously so talented. That said, Roc seems to have some power on film just isn't his strong suit. Also, with S&C at a college level, you never know if that potential power is there or not.

I am not saying they will or need to put weight on Barber but I respectfully think a bigger guy working in this offense would be more a function of the up tempo conditioning program than size IMO. For example, Derrick Green in this offense properly conditioned would have every D in the SEC West shiteing their pants had he chose Auburn.

I think agree (kind of confused) I would be scared to be tired and taking a punishing runningback up the middle. Not to mention, if he has better conditioning, it would make up for his lack of speed as tired people can't run full speed.

Peyton Barber will be a slightly smaller version of Derrick Green with slightly less speed. I think his vision/agility is better than Green though. Green seemed like a bull in a china shop at times on highlight films. Barber has some deceptive balance for his style of running

The fact that Roc has Oregon in his top 6 has to bode well for AU. He obviously likes this stle of offense

2 different styles. Oregon is a finesse, zone blocking spread. Gus uses a power, hat-on-hat blocking spread. But Roc with his Caddy style would do well in both offenses.

The blocking styles may be different, but lets get real, they are similar offenses. Much more similar than comparing Bama to Auburn or Bama to Oregon offensively.

Can't believe what ole miss is doing recruiting wise. They have one year where they don't suck and all of a sudden every recruit loves them.

The only ways they are similar are up tempo and formation allignment. Play schemes are very different.

Yeah that's what I was getting at. They are very similar especially in a h.s. rb's eyes, so like I said the fact that he likes Oregon is a good sign for Auburn IMO

I know Auburn has been better at football since probably forever when compared to Ole Miss, but the same things were being said when we landed a top 5 class in 2010. They have something to sell just like we did/do...
