Bama is turning up the heat on Evans. They moved him ahead of Carter for one of their last few spots.

Doesn't really matter to me. I think we beat them for Evans, straight up. They're not 100% on anyone they want. We've beaten them for more than our fair share, and that was with the last staff that couldn't actually coach. This staff can recruit and coach, and now has results to show for it.

Why is it such a hard sell on Evans? Having watched our defense, he has to know LB is a position of desperation for us and that in EJ's system the right player will shine?

I really think Evans signs with AU. I didn't feel that way 2-3 months ago, but Gus and Crew have really impressed him.

Evans wasn't going to stay in Auburn and play for a mediocre team. Now that we're competing for the SEC title and in the top 10, we're a much more intriguing option to him. I think the atmosphere this weekend and at the Iron Bowl will help a ton. I think we get him

Cyrus Kouandijo -c'mon for us to even have a SHOT with him was big. No way we were getting him.
Christion Jones - His coach blackmailed him to go to Bama. If he didn't, he'd be in trouble for the weed.
Dee Hart- yep
Xzavier Dickson- we were never in it for him
Reuben Foster- Yep. But in reality all they did was take back a kid we flipped.

Because that would be ignoring the reality of the situation.
And I do not consider it insecurity. I consider it having your eyes open and knowing the landscape around you.
