You have to give credit where credit is due though. In terms of coordinating recruiting, Luper was a genius. He was the brains of Tiger Prowl, BCW and many other big things that revolutionized recruiting that benefited Auburn. They basically had to change the rulebook based on Luper's recruiting tactics. Trooper also was unreal. To get a 5 star to flip from your rival and get a tattoo while also getting silents from many other top ranked players was legit. If we didn't shite the bed last year, we could have been the #1 recruiting service team
That said, I feel more comfortable with Garner and Craig as I think they are both better coaches as well as not as shady. I always felt like we were one blown cover up away from getting hammered by the NCAA

For those of us to busy to follow this thread would it be possible to get one that only ellitor is allowed to post in? I'm ready to get back in with recruiting but won't be able to follow as closely as I have in previous years and access to easy updates would be great
Just a suggestion understand if it's not doable

Roc ran for 186 yards last night and 3 TDs on 22 carries. For the season Roc has 2,094 yards and 31 TDs on 206 carries. That's 190.3 yards a game and 10 yards per carry. Just think how good those numbers would be if Roc was not hurt the first 3 games.

Pretty good article (including video interview) on Roc...

quote:
OXFORD, Alabama -- The more tackles he breaks and yards he racks up, the more Oxford running back Racean "Roc" Thomas is compared to former Auburn and NFL running back Carnell "Cadillac" Williams.
Not only does he have the slick nickname, but the Auburn commit is similar to Williams in athletic ability and size. Williams was 5-foot-11, 193 pounds during his freshman year with the Tigers 12 years ago. Thomas stands at 5-11, 196.
"It's a great comparison," Thomas said Friday with a smile. "I think he's a great running back. It's an honor to be compared to him."
The four-star prospect was presented his jersey for the Under Armour All-America Game during a ceremony at Oxford High School Friday, just hours before his team hosts Tuscaloosa County in the first round of the Class 6A state playoffs.
In 10 games this season, Thomas has carried 184 times for 1,908 yards and 28 touchdowns. He is averaging a first down every time he carries the ball at 10.3 yards per carry.
His gaudy statistics have brought him into the Mr. Football Award discussion, which Williams won at Etowah in 2000 after capping his senior year with a state championship. Williams rushed for 2,620 yards and 38 touchdowns in his final prep season.
Ron Ingram, director of communications for the Alabama High School Athletic Association, covered Williams multiple times during his time as a reporter, but has yet to see Thomas play outside of highlights.
"He looks awfully good and strong," Ingram said. "What he has going for him that's different than Carnell is, he may have a better stiff-arm of anyone in the country. But Carnell was just Mr. Work Ethic. Roc has not accomplished what Bo (Jackson) or Carnell accomplished because you have the full picture of their careers.
"But Roc, at this stage, is probably in the same genre as them. He's having that kind of year."
If Thomas continues his blistering pace throughout the postseason with the 8-2 Yellow Jackets, he could end up with better senior statistics than Williams did when it's all said and done.
"I'm having a great season, my (offensive) line has been stepping up for me," Thomas said. "They've been blocking their butts off. That's helped me out a lot. My receivers open up my run game."
As Thomas' high school career comes to a close he says he is "100 percent committed to Auburn" in terms of his recruitment. He also holds offers from Alabama, LSU, Georgia, Florida, Miami, USC and Oregon, among others.
"I look forward to getting better as a person and a player," he said. "I think Gus Malzahn will really transform me into a great player. The coaching staff made me feel like family from the get-go. They were honest with me the whole time."
Thomas is one of 90 players nationwide selected to play in the Under Armour All-America Game. He joins fellow Auburn commit Tre Williams in representing the Tigers on national television Jan. 2 at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla. The full roster can be found at ESPN.com.
"It means a lot," he said. "There are only a select few that get this opportunity. It feels great. It will prepare for me the next level because all those guys will be on college teams."

Caddy was who I thought of immediately when I saw the Spain Park game. Kid looks a lot like home. Still can't believe Bama wasn't recruiting this kid hard.

Listen, Ellitor is nothing but a wanna-be insider noob. i am the real insider here and you can expect 1 to 10 more commitments between now and signing day but it is all fluid so I don't want to say who they are yet. I will confirm who they are when they commit though so you know they are correct.

You're such a pussy.
You said where you can just get ellitor's updates. There will be no thread or board where that happens, unless he opens his own somewhere. Niño gave you a solution. Buff said
