Yea I get what you are saying but this is football recruiting. Decommits/recommits happen all the time. Rememeber Ricardo Louis? If he recommits and signs with us that would be all water under the bridge.

Sounds like another Roc situation. Wants to go to Bama but they have a ton of OL signed and don't want him. He'll come back when they never offer him..

Tre Williams is going to be at Auburn's first three home games. He said he "might" visit other schools. If he did the schools would be Florida, USC, Miami, probably Ole Miss, and Auburn. He said "It would only be to visit --I'm going to Auburn."

Looks like we are picking up/still have interest in Myron Burton. Rivals says his dad played at Auburn in the early 90s as well.

Per AUC
-Center Andrew Marshall is in limbo as AU decides what to do at center. An AU offer would likely make the Tigers the team to beat.
-DT Arthur Williams of North Carolina loves Auburn. He says Tigers and FSU stand out but has no AU offer yet because of academics.

Read in the Bunker there's going to be 5 new 5*s when the new rankings are released on Monday. If true, Pick the Next 5! Here are the next 20 or so from the last 5*, and link to complete 250 if you think someone's coming from way back.
***Big prize for the winner!***

Bold pick, Chubb. Going a long way down the list. I know he had good camps but that's a really big jump -- who do you think he is, Shaun Dion?

I'm drawing a blank on what Hootie did over the summer to get a bump.

I wonder if Sean White will end up in the rivals 250 in this next re-ranking.

Hoke said it was unlikely.

Per AUC
-Evans will not OV for the Wazzu game. He may visit but it will not be an OV. The staff would rather reserve that OV for a big game or the Banquet weekend at the end of the year.
-Staff feels FSU is the competitor for Cash, not Bama. Some in the Casher family prefer FSU.
-Staff feels good about our chances with Jordan Sims. Ole Miss thinks it will be a factor. Bama is running out of OL spots.
-Staff has strong interest in 3* DT Arthur Williams and will watch his grades closely.
-4* WR Jesse Jackson will OV Auburn but Auburn has other WRs higher on the board right now. Also Miss St is a huge favorite.

I don't see why we don't do what Ole Miss did and get all our big targets who have not already OV'd to visit on the same day and sell them on building together. Ole Miss literally pulled a "go big or go home" type weekend and it worked out. We have a better program, should have momentum, good recruiters and better facilities so I can imagine we could do even better than they did

How we let Florida State get a foothold in Mobile is beyond me.

Do you know our chances of taking both Sims and Casher? I would be a happy panda if we got both

quote:

From my very limited knowledge of his situation beyond reading beat writers, it would seem like he is a guy who recruiting services are writing off as a grade risk and not ranking him higher. Does this seem to be true? He seems to have some solid measurables

I would rather offer a legacy in Myron Burton than take Jackson. I could live with taking someone like Jackson but I personally like building strong legacy lines and getting former players back around the program. Helps avoids bullshite Rashaan Evans situations

True

Looks like Pruitt is picking up where DCraig left off too.

As great as DCraig has been for us in Mobile, it still does bug me a little that he wasn't able to close the door to FSU when he left. I mean, not surprised and would be ridiculous if he was able to but I just hate FSU

We call this Big Cat Weekend.

Andrew Marshall. I'd be just as happy with him, if not more so, than Casher.

Jordan Sims

There's a chance he'd rather go to Ole Miss? Really? Come on.

Amen. Would just as soon get Myron and be done. This includes TRudolph, and I really like TRudolph. But I think MB would be an asset to the program in ways TR wouldn't.
