Just spoke with Parkway (La.) QB Brandon Harris. He confirmed his visit on Wednesday and said his final three schools are LSU, Ohio State and Auburn. He also said he doesn't plan to visit LSU after his visit to Auburn, his trip to the Plains will be his last before he decides on July 18.

So who would everyone rather have, Harris or White? I would rather have White simply because of the track record we have with highly rated dual threat QB's (Frazier, Rollison, Burns).

Apparently Tyler Queen (current 2015 top QB target) and his family have also set up a visit this Wednesday (same day as Harris).

He was going to the LSU camp, maybe he changed his mind "For Now". We shall see...

I like White, and will be thrilled if we do in fact sign him...but I gotta say Harris right now...I agree we've struck out on several dual threat QBs, but its proven a CHAMPIONSHIP can be won in combo with Malzahn's offense. Not saying it cant be, but its yet to be proven a pro-style QB can with it. So i gotta take the track record with a Championship blueprint...for tonight anyways

From Harris regarding visiting LSU for their camp:
quote:

"I don't know where that came from, but I won't be visiting LSU after Auburn. It will be best for me to visit Auburn, see them and be done with it," said Harris.

The quarterback I don't want to see play for four years would be the first one to commit and then shut down the process and then recruit. Don't waffle, get us some players, and then go back to high school and don't blow out a knee, graduate early, get on campus, shut up, learn, work out and get better.

But just know, well before we see you in four years we'll have already moved on to the kid in the '16 class. So, good luck with us and all that.

As for who would I rather have between Harris and White. It's a toss up for me. Both kids have great intangibles. Both very smart. BH 3.8 GPA SW 4.3. By all accounts both kids have great leadership skills and other players gravitate to them. Harris has established connections to 2 WRs Auburn is recruiting heavily in Cam Sims and Trey Quinn. With White making WRs look good at The Opening last week I am sure he would bring in some quality WRs also. I love deadly accurate QBs so I tend to lean to White even though Harris has more upside. I would be excited to get either one though. If White does not end up at Auburn I hope he goes to SCar. He would be Danny Wuerffel 2.0 in terms of accuracy for Spurrier.

in my worthless opinion, give me the guy with more athleticism and upside -- Harris. Not that I'd complain with White, but I want the guy who is a true dual threat and has a cannon over the more exact/accurate guy.

I guess it all depends on his definition of visit ... (from June 26, LSU Rivals):
quote:

Harris is scheduled to make an unofficial visit to Auburn on July 10 before attending LSU's camp, which means the Bayou Bengals will have a chance to make a strong final impression on the four-star quarterback.

"I'm going to go to the LSU camp," Harris said. "I think it's the 14th. Auburn will be the last school I visit but LSU will be the last college that I go and look at. That day is to go and have fun. … I don't have anything else to prove about my ability to play besides going out and playing this year at a high level and getting ready to enroll at whatever college I choose to attend. "
