Ellis has done a hell of a job with the current personnel but these guys coming in seem to be perfect fits for his system

He has flat out said we don't have the size nor talent to do things he wants to with our DBs.

EJs hands have been tied a lot this season, but he's a smart coach. We were getting torched in man coverage first half and start of 3rd against Mizzou so what does EJ do?... He blitzes the hell out of Franklin didn't give him time to survey the field I thought that was a huge difference in the game. We were bringing pressure from everywhere right up the middle and off the edge Franklin started making some bad throws and got us some 3 and outs. I'm sure EJ didn't want to blitz like that damn near every down but we had no other choice.

@JHokanson: The #Auburn secondary commits are 6'0, 6'1, 6'1 and 6'3. Adding much-needed height in the backend, and all 4-stars. LINK

I believe that EJ is doing a great job considering the hand he has been dealt. He has small guys at DBs, LBs who either can't line up or can't tackle, and a DL that while solid is very inconsistent (each play has an equal chance to dominate and get dominated)

Once we get some bigger LBs (6'2+ 235-245+), some DBs with size (6'1+ 200) and a DL that can play their game consistently, I think we have a top 15 defense year in and year out. Right now we are recruiting for it which is nice

Pretty awesome seeing some height in the secondary. I'm loving this 2014 class so far. Definitely filling needs

What's there to respond to? He would be excited if we got those two guys just like all of us would.

It sounds to me the recruit is invested in his recruiting class. How strange...

I am sure he probably won't cry, but he used the term to express how much it would mean to him.

I laughed when I read it because it sounded like something. I would see posted on this board versus coming from one of our recruits

Just taking a look at the OP, and I don't get too excited until LOI's are signed, it is already a pretty impressive group of players.

Don't ever read the al.com comments. It's the equivalent of hitting yourself in the head with a 3 lb sledge (5x).
