Interesting, but I'm not sure it means anything in the day of recruiting. It opens the door though.

seems to be the new thing to announce your decision when you've already announced your decision.

Just wanted to throw out a summary of what just got posted about Rashaan on 247. Apparently the in home went well, he said it was like hanging out with friends and they told him in great detail exactly how we'd use him at the star. Gus's visit will be for Evan's grandfather's 80th birthday which I think is pretty cool. Reading it got me a little more confident. Said he's excited to hang out with Tre and them this weekend.

Definitely a positive article for us. Says he's just looking for confirmation on things.

Don't know if it's been posted but Tre, Deshaun, Roberts, and Mitchell will all be there this weekend.

Scout's Chad Simmons caused a meltdown on ITAT today

quote:

Rashaan Evans Notes... As we all know, Auburn sent multiple coaches into the Evans home Wednesday night. Here is the latest: "The visit was great. The coaches (Garner, Ellis, and Harbison) were at my house for over two hours. They were recruiting me some and just hanging out some... They are really excited about getting me back over there for my official visit." Evans feelings for AU after the in-home visit are the "same" and you can take that how you choose. Auburn is still very much in this race, but I personally feel it is not the school on top right now. Things can REALLY change this weekend. The Gus Malzahn visit is important next week, but not near as important as this weekends official visit. The 48 hours on campus at AU Friday-Sunday is THE most important time and that will make or break Auburn in terms of signing Evans. Saban and Smart will be at Auburn HS today, then at the Evans home tonight. UCLA is and has been hanging around and he does plan to take an unofficial visit there Jan. 31. Hang on here... Only 13 days to SD, but there could still be a lot of movement here.

That's why I stopped posting there years ago and didn't renew my account. Once you figure out what Mark and Jason mean when they post things it's nice but those nutbags that are absolutely obsessed with everything Bama and Saban related just ruin it.

"Saban just took a shite, we should take a picture of it and send it to the NCAA investigator"

I literally have never met someone with a scout sub. To this day, I am trying to figure out who all these nutjobs are

Any truth to this rumor about our staff only negatively recruiting while at Evan's place for an in home? Bama fans are trying to run with this without anyone credible

Hard to believe it was the only thing done. .....

Is it negative in your mind to tell him he will ride the bench at bama year 1?

Alabama fans claim that everyone negatively recruits, except them. It was expected for them to say this, IMO.

Just posted the quote they were running with after Evans' OV on the recruiting board. Don't know where they got that it was our coaches talking bad about them.

quote:

The one thing I learned from this visit is that things that people said about Alabama were not really true. A lot of people said the coaches really do not care about the players, but I actually found out they want them to have the highest level of success on the field and in life, as they want the type of players who are looking for both.

No Bama fans always looking for an excuse of why a player doesn't pick them. I know negative recruiting takes place, but This coaching staff's abilities and the success of Auburn can stand alone when recruiting a player.

Nothing in Evans interviews did he ever single out the coaches as the ones who told him things. Not saying it isn't possible, but they have no grounds to back it up.

I personally believe it is the other recruits like Kalvarez and Roberts, and maybe some others.

Bama fans are pussies and need reasons and excuses for their failures.

Or anybody he talks to in Auburn.

Lamont Simmons got an in-home from Gus today. I thought y'all would enjoy this quote from Simmons:
quote:

"Coach [b]Melvin] Smith and Coach Cheese always talk about building that defense with height and size, and lanky guys."
