I know he is supposed to be an ace recruiter, but after UT and USC how can any kid really trust or want to play under him. He was fired and denied access to the bus for crying out loud.

I'm really kinda surprised by the responses of some here. This is the big leagues and this is how the last 2-3 weeks plays out every year. Roc AIN'T going to alabama but Kiffin has a job to do. Did y'all expect him to just throw up his hands because Roc was committed to Auburn? For some here it's going to be a LONGGGGGG 3 weeks

Per the Bama recruiting thread, Gus has his in-home with Evans tonight. If true, I wonder why Gus is using it so early. Hopefully it goes well

We have our OV the last weekend before NSD I think which could explain it.
We get something better than an in home 1/31 and we have an inhome right before he goes to Tuscaloosa. Sounds smart to me

Roc seems happy with Auburn and we even have ESPN guys recruiting for us when they say "Roc fits perfectly in Malzahn's offense." Going to be a hard sell for Bama

IMO Bama doesn't do well in developing the players to succeed at the NFL level. They simply recruit SO DAMN WELL that the players can come in with the God-given talent they have, gain a little strength/weight, and they'll play well enough on that to get drafted, when combined with 21 other starters that are as highly recruited as they were.

Saban probably wants to see how recruits react to having his slimy new OC try to recruit them before he sends Kiffin out to see his real targets.

but for reals, Gus being so adamant and prideful about his HS coaching days pays off with these other HS coaches. They respect Gus and look up to him. I'd bet Auburn's coaching clinic will be absolutely LOADED UP with coaches this year.

Roc - Not worried. Look at the log jam Bama has at RB. No idea how you can sell playing time.
