According to BM, someone very close to the situation says it looks very good for AU for Foster and Lawson heading into the weekend.

Also we're recruiting Toby Johnson again.

This is pretty good news. You think hes just saying this for hits?

I feel pretty strongly that we need to sign a couple (high school) interior DLs and offensive linemen... and right now, it's not looking good for either -- Liner's gone, we're not recruiting Bell, Golson is a longshot, Mix is a possibility but who knows, Gothren is not interested.

We really need to load up in 2014 or we'll be in the same position down the road that we found ourselves in 2011 -- having to play true freshman at DT and OL.

Don't think so. It's in his Insider Recruiting Notes and that gets hits no matter what is in it.

Ole Miss fan on the recruiting board is saying Barber is visiting AU this weekend. They're worried.

That and Toby said in an article on 247 or ESPN yesterday (I can't remember which cuz I have soaked up up much recruiting lately.) that he still talks regularly with Garner and Auburn is in his final four. Another thing of note. I really like it when BM and JH use the exact same wording on a recruit. Both said Auburn is making a strong push for Folston and his commitment to ND is shaky. Other things of note. BM considers Auburn a heavy favorite for Ford. Also FSU is trying to get Walker and Stevens to OV this weekend but no luck for the Noles on that so far.

Could not agree more. I keep on bitching about it, but we have got to get some damn elite defensive tackles. They are the bedrock and the gamechangers in the SEC. What really sets the SEC apart from other conferences? More than anything it is the defensive linemen and the athletisism of the elite DTs. Perfect example was Fairley. One man wrecking crew and a game changer. I keep bitching about missing on Drew and Goldman, but I am still pissed about it and will be adding Monty Adams to that list this year it appears certain.

Anyway, on a more positive note yea to looking good for Lawson and Foster (hopefully). Must get both.

Yep and a very physical presence in the middle of the field. A big physical middle linebacker along with two dominant tackles sets the stage for no running inside

Per JH, Auburn is giving Notre Dame a fight for Folston. ND will visit Folston tomorrow. They are irritated at the whole development with Auburn and Folston. No word yet as to when Auburn will visit Folston.

I think the coaches feel Folston can do both. I say that because it is believed we would take any 3 of the 4 if 3 want to come. The coaches are pushing to get at least 2. I would love to see Jones chime in. He was the first one last week to feel Auburn had a real shot on Folston based on his source.

Clemson source thinks its Tennessee because of Thigpen and Ryan Jenkins but dad might want Carl to stick to his word with Auburn

Tennessee Source states they would be surprised if Lawson picks Auburn because Garner did not want or like Carl at UGA but is now being forced to play nice because he's a 5 star committed to the Tigers Vols Source feels its Tenn-Clemson battle with Vols edge. Source at Auburn thinks its Auburn or course and last visit will cement things.

Has no idea right now. Spoke to Ryan Jenkins and who has no clue and said Carl will pick what's best for him, he's recruiting him for Vols, and they had good time on their Tennesse visit. Said Carl is very private with this decision and he's not pushing him. Mike Farrell, on VQ

Calling bullshite on Farrell taking quotes from Tennessee and Clemson with one from Auburn and deducting that Lawson is a Vollock

Anything that SCTiger posts on volnation is premium contact almost always from Rivals so you probably want to clean that up. That is word for word what JHoke said

Also, JHoke said he could not confirm that Folston decommitted or not and will get back later when he finds out.
No news on when Auburn will visit Folston's home

Also, Elijah Daniel seems to be visiting AU this weekend as well

If anyone wants to mess with Ole Miss fans I just put up an "Elijah Daniel visiting AU" thread on the SEC Recruiting board

So now AU is forcing Lawson down Garner's throat because a recruiting service has him as a 5 star, but Garner doesn't really want him or think he is good enough?

Wow. That volnation guy is a complete retard. Anything he says should be completely ignored.

Should we add this to the Peyton Barber fire that's already burning on the Recruiting Board?

Edit: You beat me to it....loving the meltdowns

I can see them saying that UT or Clemson could be a favorite for Lawson but I don't see how they can just disregard Auburn. The way the Lawsons have been running his recruiting, they would have decommitted and left AU by now if we were truly out of the running

Yea, they mad. Just a sample from irishenvy.com.

why would anyone want to play for Auburn. They are terrible.

I can't even begin to comprehend what Auburn is up to behind the scenes.

quote:

If he flips, its certainly not the staff's fault. They have went above and beyond trying to secure him and make him feel wanted. It's up to Folston to realize what is best for him and having said that I dont know why he would want to play and attend Auburn, baffling.

the thing with visits (especially this late) is plans will change 20 times between today and Friday... I think some don't catch on that... the fact that a kid says he's visiting a school on Monday doesn't mean he'll actually show up Friday.

ETA: and IMO, if a committed player is visiting Auburn, I'd rather not have the info out at all... the earlier it comes out, the less the likelihood the OV actually happens.

The visit list this weekend is starting to look pretty damn strong.

It seems too late in the game to really shake things up tremendously, but who knows...

I am just taking a pesimistic agitated view view/attitude until NSD. Do not want a repeat of last year thinking we were about to hit some home runs only to K on everyone until Avery Young late in the day.
